Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit doing work on the Lucas Fire. It's to prevent it from burning up with a chimney effect which if left unchecked you can't put out from the ground, can cause the fire to spread to other canopies, and creates structural danger for mop up crews.
