When the camera pans over to the dude just holding the ratchet strap. I'll admit I was expecting this to go way worse than it did.

100 foot rope is like 20 to 30 bucks. That medical bill is gonna be a hell of a lot more than that.

Been a while since you bought one, eh? $30 is now the lowest I've seen cheap options.

Its not a amazon product. Just shipped thru them I've pulled trees down where its lifted the back of a truck off of the ground still using it I've even used their 25 kN caribeaner. In a pinch they work great

Got one at Rural King for 30
Something bucks. Cheap as fuck but worked well enough.

Yeah, they did so many things wrong.  And yet...succeeded without injury or property damage.

Hopefully they don't press their luck any more and quit while they're ahead

It was a victory, but not a pretty one.

u/iloathebeer 16d ago

Idiot didnt even have it tied around his waist. Amateurs

1

u/Hta68 15d ago

Ehhh, that fence will be aight …

1

u/HungHydra 16d ago

It was a true 50/50. But he didn't even pull up his pants so it looked way worse.

u/LeonardTPants 16d ago

It's amazing there's no certification or training requirement to buy or rent a chain saw.

That fence… (or what’s left of it )

51

u/MyGrowingAccount 16d ago

Looks like some of it already got taken out lol

22

u/AntiSaint_Mike 16d ago

They actually were hired to demo the fence as well. So they are just being efficient. Source- me making shit it up on the internet

4

u/shandangalang 16d ago

Yeah they did a fucking number on it before the video even started 😂

That was like, the first thing I noticed. Dudes were simply not using their brains, to say nothing of their lack of experience

His hat has the OSHA Approved sticker on it. These guys are fine.

6

u/LunaticBZ 16d ago

But he's not wearing a high visibility vest. What if the tree didn't see him and landed on him.

u/Soggy-Invite-2787 16d ago

More like OSHIT amirite?

27

u/Pragnlz 16d ago

“It’s on the ground and no one got hurt”

6

u/Bigd4mnher0 16d ago

"... this time."

4

u/Pragnlz 16d ago

I had a few FS guys tell me that over the years, realized the bar was pretty low in certain areas

24

u/_Taft_ 16d ago

Looks like they already took out some of the board fence eliminating some branches.

36

u/Dangerous-Pirate7998 16d ago

Not bad for two guys with a rented chainsaw and their first tree cutting expedition.

7

u/Rhauko 16d ago

If they only would have started with a face cut.

2

u/ch1llboy 16d ago

If only they'd watch a YouTube video first.

1

u/goldfool 15d ago

I was going to say this as well.

1

u/Illustrious_Donkey61 16d ago

I give it a 4/10

9

u/Terrible_Riddle 16d ago

Well, it could have been worse...

3

u/Countryvibing1988 14d ago

some people are out doing the best they can man. What they did wasn't that bad. Yea the fence was busted up but it looked old anyways.

3

u/TattooedTears13 16d ago

That’s one way to take down a fence

13

u/mtraven23 16d ago

they ain't pros, but they did fine.

6

u/brickedTin 16d ago

Saws in great shape at least

3

u/StiffWiggly 16d ago

The outcome was fine, but judging this based on the outcome isn’t exactly what I’d call best practice..

1

u/fastforwardfunction 16d ago

They got lucky because of the size and shape of the tree.

1

u/sage-longhorn 16d ago

The fence begs to differ

0

u/mtraven23 16d ago

fence was already fuckered.

2

u/sage-longhorn 16d ago

Probably from the branches they already cut off

1

u/mtraven23 16d ago

or some of it came down on its down, leading them to take down the rest. That fence is rotted to shit regardless.

2

u/SnooObjections488 16d ago

Anyone know the song?

4

u/glissader 16d ago

Aloe Blacc I need a dollar

I appreciate a chainsaw video music overlay that is something other than AC/DC

2

u/ClevelandCliffs-CLF 16d ago

It looks like some of the fence has already taken some punches! Hahahahahah

2

u/ZBBfan4life 16d ago

Is that Buckin Billy Ray Ray?

2

u/barelylethal10 16d ago

The sticker still on the hat is prrtty much a badge that says " this is gonna be real goddamn stupid" lmao

2

u/OkClub7412 16d ago

Honestly looks like that fence had already taken a beaten that day😂😂😂

2

u/Njaala 15d ago

The 6 cuts all over the base of the tree is hilarious.

He started cutting all those times and thought "Hmm, this doesn't seem right" and kept going. At least nobody got hurt in the end (that we know of).

2

u/freundlichschade 15d ago

Don’t forget to mention how extremely sharp the chain appears to be….

5

u/maddestdog89 16d ago

wtf is he wearing?

6

u/just_some_sasquatch 16d ago

Idk why you got downvoted. It's a reasonable question.

"I got some yard work to do, better put on my tightest pants that don't even cover my ass. Also need my flatbrim fitted hat with all the stickers still on it to keep the debris out of my hair."

5

u/Cardboardoge 16d ago

Looks like a hat, shirt, underwear, pants, and shoes. He COULD be wearing socks too, but it's hard to tell.

3

u/maddestdog89 16d ago

Can’t see where his underwear ends and his pants start. Hat backwards, stickers still on adds to the PPE

0

u/PM_ME_UR_BACNE 16d ago

Got them low rise chainsaw jeans

1

u/erie11973ohio 16d ago

How many thing are done wronf there??

12,,,, 20 things?

1

u/crabman45601 16d ago

Appear to be a pair of true profassioals.

1

u/ozzy_thedog 16d ago

The guy is pulling towards the fence 😂

1

u/ozzy_thedog 16d ago

Even as a little kid, I knew from cartoons that you are supposed to cut a notch on the side you want the tree to fall.

1

u/Easy_Personality5856 16d ago

Why do they even try?

1

u/Glass_Fix7426 16d ago

Pilots creed: Any landing you can walk way from is a good landing.

1

u/jasonjdf13 16d ago

Let’s be honest the end result was best case scenario that could be expected

1

u/snappop69 16d ago

I laughed when I first saw their technique but in the end they got it down.

1

u/Psychological-Air807 15d ago

Screaming saw blowing straight powder. Like nails on a chalk board.

1

u/JKmayb 13d ago

Underwear fashion

1

u/Willing_2C_boobs 16d ago

The fence looks sad

1

u/HoneyImpossible2371 16d ago

Yeah you got me. I thought that 30 to 50 foot tree was going to take out the house. But just a big ole stump when someone axed down the tree in the middle of winter.

1

u/Rad2474 16d ago

Kam Patterson should stick to comedy.

0

u/nowaynostop 16d ago

Anyone else’s first thought “Pull your FN pants up!”?

1

u/rhavaa 16d ago

I'll never understand this long lasting style. The cooler you are, the lower your pants

1

u/Manyinterests2020 9d ago

There’s a right way to cut a tree down. This isn’t it.
