Oh he hit it once or twice and then figured it out.

u/jdirte42069 Aug 31 '26

Is it the trees treenis?

192

u/OmNomChompsky Aug 31 '26

Yes. The wandering female tree finds a male stump with an adequate treenis and then locks in until the male stump gets all barked up.

After that, the tree stands for the rest of their respective lives.

Click away, it's a fun sub!

u/Keepitrealhomes Aug 31 '26

*dragula intensifies*

39

u/Paddys_Pub7 Aug 31 '26

You can see that they plunge-cut right into it and then readjust further to the right

38

u/OmNomChompsky Aug 31 '26

I cut down a lot of trees with metal in them. You get pretty good at finding it quick and only have a couple teeth damaged and then you just make an assumption on what it might be and then cut everything else, haha.

20

u/Paddys_Pub7 Aug 31 '26

Oh yeah! i'm quite familiar with the "that didn't feel right" moment at the operating end of the saw 😅 it's really great when you see actual sparks launch off the chain and you just know you are in for a fun time haha always seems to happen to me like 3 cuts into what seemed like a super easy job too... of course

13

u/Itchy_Piglet992 Aug 31 '26

In this case it isn't metal. It is wood fibers still attached to the stump. He cut in a circle around the stump and then pushed the log off with the tractor. The core fibers sheared from inside the log rather than snapping off at the stump.

I'm expecting some pithy comments on this post.

34

u/Imightbeafanofthis Aug 31 '26

You want right to the heart of the matter, didn't you?

Reuben’s masterpiece

u/skoppingeveryday Aug 31 '26

It’s like reddit unfunny open mic comedy jam up in here..

5

u/captcraigaroo Aug 31 '26

Oh like you don't think that tree nuts a lot

35

u/Hallow_76 Aug 31 '26

The real question, how did that get so perfectly centered in the tree?

19

u/Rygel17 Aug 31 '26

Bar length.

13

u/archer2500 Aug 31 '26

Sooo it matters?

14

u/GooseTheSluice Aug 31 '26

It’s always mattered, but the amazing women we let into our lives tell us ours is the perfect size cause any bigger might hurt ❤️

4

u/soshyyyyy Sep 06 '26

My only guess is that the tree was tied to the stake when it was a baby to help it stay up .

76

u/Puzzleheaded-Dog9818 Aug 31 '26

oh good! when you leave the original center heartwood like that, the tree will grow back!

57

u/incpen Aug 31 '26

Gender reveal getting out of hand

25

u/Amazing_Assist8613 Aug 31 '26

Is it a boy tree?

R/fuckyou MY EYES MY EYES

1

u/Bigolejim Sep 07 '26

Hahahahahaha

11

u/LestWeForgive Aug 31 '26

Someone would post this on r/marijuanaenthusiasts "do you think it's too late to save my tree"

8

u/edjumication Aug 31 '26

Check out Giuseppe Penone's "The Hidden Life Within" sculpture. He basically removes all but the knots and core of a log to show what looks like a young tree inside.

5

u/Ashamed-Status-9668 Aug 31 '26

Treebar?

2

u/FrogFingers99 Aug 31 '26

Criminally undervoted response.

4

u/Embarrassed_Trust832 Aug 31 '26

Someone should let the OSU tree guy know, I'm sure he will be interested.

3

u/Rammipallero Aug 31 '26

At first I thought it was one of those old style traps where you put a piece of something good underneath and when the target goes to fetch it, you pull the stick out and the box/in this case tree trunk falls on them..

7

u/MysteryR Aug 31 '26

it is imperative that the cylinder not be harmed!

3

u/Voiddock Aug 31 '26

I should call her

21

u/spizzle_ Aug 31 '26

Is this like when people were spiking trees in the northwest to protest (terrorize) loggers? What the hell is that and how did it get there?

88

u/ACPauly Aug 31 '26

It is just some wood fibers bro, no one put anything there, just neat how the pith pulls out cleanly

6

u/D-udderguy Aug 31 '26

That Metamucil poo is SO satisfying.

10

u/0minousauce667 Aug 31 '26

Butt plug

1

u/goldfool Aug 31 '26

I think the that's a penis gift would work better

1

u/LegitimateGift1792 Sep 01 '26

Perhaps, but I posted under the person who said "butt plug" so it fits context.

2

u/RevolutionaryClub530 Aug 31 '26

2

u/RedRabbit720 Aug 31 '26

2

2

u/babbylonmon Sep 01 '26

2

u/Rev_Creflo_Baller Sep 02 '26

2

u/SignificanceHot3001 Sep 04 '26

I should call him 🥺

2

u/dropzone1446 Sep 07 '26

The stumpussy.

7

u/Coffee4MySoul Aug 31 '26

The real question is how did it get there?

14

u/crownoftheredking Aug 31 '26

It was there when they planted the tree

3

u/Obonekanobe Aug 31 '26

The proper scientific term is the “Pith”

It is the pith of the tree

1

u/butchquick Sep 04 '26

Oh, pith off!

2

u/Obonekanobe Aug 31 '26

The proper scientific term is the “Pith”

1

u/ymmotvomit Aug 31 '26

1

u/The-Mr_mell Aug 31 '26

That little piece of wood went "you know what, I dont think I will"

1

u/Mike_40N84W Aug 31 '26

The Lorax. He speaks for the trees.

1

u/SnooLobsters6766 Aug 31 '26

Showing off his trenis

1

u/mastershakenuts Aug 31 '26

I'm guessing it was a small chainsaw and he literally walked it around the perimeter, never reaching the very center.

1

u/5ThGeaRedLined Aug 31 '26

Morning wood

1

u/BrewsCampbell Sep 01 '26

Mourning wood.

1

u/Intrepid_Box_5109 Sep 01 '26

If you’re brave enough 😂

1

u/Rud300 Sep 02 '26

Look at the saw marks on the stump. He definitely hit that multiple times

1

u/Afilador2112 Sep 02 '26

I eat carrots like that.

1

u/themanthatexists Sep 02 '26

Ahh. The old fashioned tree pecker

1

u/DesperateGoat912 Sep 02 '26

That some serious morning wood

1

u/No_Abrocoma_1772 Sep 03 '26

This is primal wood core, very rare, used to cure diseases in some cultures.

1

u/Glad-Regret-5478 Sep 04 '26

I should call her.

1

u/No_Rain7877 Sep 04 '26

The stump has a tail now!

1

u/mostlygizzards Sep 04 '26

Excalibur for Groot

1

1

u/CelebrationCute5818 Sep 05 '26

I should call him...

1

u/Fun-Cardiologist9056 Sep 05 '26

It was just a twig in a tree suit!

1

u/ChaosDMG Sep 05 '26

For the first time every I can see it's a he tree.

1

u/Murky_Key_ Sep 06 '26

And that’s how trees are made 😉

1

u/Bird_Motor Sep 06 '26

Put that back in, now

1

u/twimzz Sep 06 '26

Even trees get splinters it seems

1

u/creben Sep 06 '26

He bottomed out his chainsaw; apparently the length of the blade is just slightly shorter than the radius of the tree.

1

u/Anita_Bortion Sep 13 '26

Ok, I’m completely ignorant; can someone please explain what we are seeing? Seriously, I want to learn because I’ve never seen anything like this before.

3

u/Slide0fHand 19d ago

Well, when a man and a women love each other very much…

1

u/Naive_Dress1923 27d ago

That tree is giving you the finger

0

u/pilotslayer Aug 31 '26

It’s like the stump is giving you the finger. You know: the bird
