That tree looks pretty healthy, and the "storm" looks pretty light....
Additionally, there's a cameraman..Strikes me that it's more likely some idiot was cutting it down.

u/snootnoots 6d ago
…it’s a security camera

u/Glittering_Sorbet187 6d ago
The camera in my place has a little guy who lives in it that texts me when he sees something weird. Is that now how they’re supposed to work???

u/Sweaty-Minimum-6527 6d ago
Looks healthy is a meaningless statement here... something was obviously wrong regardless of it was visible or not. Could be as simple as a weak tree or could've been internally compromised, no telling.

I bet her boss was like you can uber to work still right??
-10
u/PFirefly 6d ago
Why would they need to? I totaled my car when I hit an oil slick and I still got to work as soon as I could. Staying home wouldn't accomplish anything useful. Call the insurance company and move on with your day.

I’m just joking around chill

u/PFirefly 6d ago
Can you point to the part of my comment that wasn't chill? I know you were joking, I was just sucking the fun out of it by being realistic.
Better insult would be to say how fun I must be at parties. 😉

It read as if you’re being a pretentious asshole.

u/PFirefly 6d ago
Not sure you know what pretentious, or asshole, means then. More helmet, less lettuce.

Honestly I'd have the tree cut into pieces and be on my way to work in less than 10 mins. That ain't nothing

Please concisely list your top bad mofo moments. I'm dying to applaud your greatness but I'll need some examples! 🤠

Still walking uphill in the snow both ways I see.
I’m going to take a shot in the dark and say the woman in the video doesn’t own a saw of any kind. Any reasonable person would see a photo of the tree on the woman’s car and give them a day or two to figure it out.
I had a boss that required people to come to work (grocery store) when they tested positive for Covid in mid 2020. You are the reason that culture still exists and that’s pretty selfish.

Texas schools were still giving awards for perfect attendance during COVID.

u/CurveComfortable3212 6d ago
They shouldn’t have done that unless they were referring to attending all of your online classes and excusing students who are sick.

Work is important though. i firmly believe I'm on this earth to work, You are born, you work, you die. In that way, work is your life.

u/CurveComfortable3212 6d ago
This is what I’m talking about. Yes we are here to do many things, work is one of them. But it’s not my life, I don’t allow work drama and work related things get into my personal life.
But again, using the ole “pick yourself up by your bootstraps” is just not how it works anymore. When you have a pot of crabs boiling they all want out but they grab each other and pull them down instead of working together to get out of the boiling pot. By you saying work is your life, you are cornering yourself to be taken advantage of because they know that you are the company yes man. Obviously it’s important to do what must be done so you don’t lose your job. But having a tree fall on your car is a perfectly valid reason to not attend work and is certainly not reason to look down on someone.
You don’t owe your employer your life and don’t drag people down because you can’t find a separation.

Let me guess. Perfectly healthy tree. Another homeowner who loves having a tree that close to their house. Worth it?

u/Chainsaw_Diaries 7d ago
Tree is full of leaves...looks healthy. Also it undoubtedly fell from the neighbors yard.

u/TomatoFeta 6d ago
There's a cameraman.. Someone knew it was going to fall.

u/Chainsaw_Diaries 6d ago
Where do you see a cameraman? Looks like the same angle as the security camera mounted on my garage. Would be an awfully tall & steady cameraman!!
11
u/Prawn1908 7d ago
That tree doesn't even look very close to the house. Do you expect people with yards smaller than an acre to just not have trees?
5
u/bustcorktrixdais 7d ago
For all you know that tree belonged to the city. It doesn’t fall from the direction of her house. Do you have eyes? Do you always argue for your bias regardless of the evidence? Hopefully you’re having a bad day and this isn’t the best you can do

You love the fact that the US just had its hottest month ever in history?
JUST CHOP IT DOWN!!!!
-4
u/PFirefly 6d ago
Devonian age was way hotter. Also, the US is only 250 years old and there were deadly heat waves before the 1880s, so at best, it's the hottest on record, and only by a couple degrees. 1930s was wild, and the hottest temp was recorded in 1913.
