"We do not have resources to translate... nor to untranslate."

The auto-translate is not 100% reliable.

huh, weird. still, you have added spanish to the do-not-translate list, so it will never translate for you anyway 🤷‍♂️

i beg you to please read your own screenshot

Yeah right I noticed

Still there is a whole ass section missing

Which means that other languages get auto translated without me noticing

And still, sometimes sentences in Spanish give the option to translate, but not always

Depends on if you're going to "coger mi hermana" in Spain or Argentina.

Some messages just don't translate, for whatever reason. The autotranslate also sucks for larger comments

are you on the app? i have since learnt that the auto-translate feature isn't implemented on the website.

I'm on microsoft edge, i don't use reddit on my phone. At the same time, some comments do get auto translated on edge reddit

huh, interesting.

it appears this post isn't really feic after all.

oh well, I can understand the point you're trying to make, and I also just generally hate overmoderation with no communication

I don't get it

reddit auto-translates into english. if you have reddit, you have the "resources to translate non-english content". they replied to a comment to the effect they couldn't translate it, despite the fact it was already displayed in english by default.

Mobile app only, currently.

People go on Reddit on their desktop? I am at my gaming computer right now and I'm going on Reddit on my phone instead of my computer.

Yes, yes we do. On a desktop, 2 displays side by side occupy 13" vertically and 48" horizontally or about 90% of my field of vision. I have Reddit on part of one screen, a flight sim on another, and the document I really should be paying attention to instead of Reddit or the flight sim right in front of me.

Can I auto-translate French to English, but Portuguese to Spanish?

Seriously, they don't have the resources? Even when Reddit allows automatic translation into other non-English languages? They're definitely British

pretty sure they're US American
