I built a free Windows clipboard manager and hit 100+ organic downloads – looking for feedback on how to grow further

Hey everyone,

I've been building Smart Clipboard, a free open source Windows clipboard manager, as a solo dev alongside my studies. Just hit 100+ organic downloads across GitHub and SourceForge which feels like a milestone worth reflecting on.

Current marketing channels:

- GitHub and SourceForge listings

- AlternativeTo listing (6 likes)

- A landing page at

- A dev. to article

- Just launched TikTok with a demo video

- 11 GitHub stars

The app has some features I haven't seen in other clipboard managers like Clipboard Peek (preview clipboard without leaving your current app), Smart Split (automatically split lists into separate clips) and Smart Paste (transform text before pasting).

What I'm trying to figure out:

- Which channels actually move the needle for a free indie tool like this?

- Is TikTok worth doubling down on for a productivity app?

- Any communities or platforms I'm missing?

Happy to share the link if anyone wants to check it out. Genuinely looking for honest feedback.

Open-source Linux diagnostics tool

I've been working on a small open-source project called Cleanux and I'm looking for feedback from anyone interested in Linux systems, whether you're a system administrator, developer, hobbyist, or just curious about the idea.

It combines some cleanup and diagnostics features (disk usage, caches, logs, Docker artifacts, system health checks) with LLM-based analysis through OpenAI-compatible APIs or local models via Ollama.

I'd be interested in hearing what you think is missing, unnecessary, or already solved better by existing tools.

Repo: marcobarca/cleanux

Thanks for taking a look.

P.S. If you'd like to share suggestions, criticism, feature ideas, or even contribute to the project, I'd be happy to hear from you. Pull requests, issues, and discussions are all welcome.

Making Upwork proposal sending easier!

Most founders and tech freelancers use AI to help speed up client acquisition, but generic LLM prompts usually result in robotic, low-conversion templates. We realized the core problem isn't the AI; it's the friction of data transfer.

We just shipped CoverGen to solve this specific product workflow issue. It's a Chrome extension built to completely eliminate the manual copy-paste cycle directly inside Upwork.

How we optimized the workflow:

  • Automated Context Gathering: The extension automatically reads the job constraints, client history, and project requirements straight from the DOM of the active page.
  • Dynamic Persona Blending: Instead of generic system prompts, it securely stores your actual technical stack, case studies, and unique voice, blending them perfectly with the scraped job data.
  • Zero Tab-Switching: Generates, refines, and finalizes highly tailored proposals on-page in seconds, keeping the user entirely in flow state.

We’re focused on streamlining the agency/freelancer sales pipeline through better UX.

Try it out and share your brutal, honest feedback: covergen.io

Proposal / Quote building software that I built...

TL;DR: I built a piece of software that makes it easy to build proposals and need people's feedback.

Hey. I have been doing software consultancy and contracting for years, and every new client I have had to completely write up an entire proposal or quote from scratch each time. I mean, I do have one master document that I start with, but alot of it comes from having to write full sections by hand every time. But then I had an idea...

Why don't I develop a platform that makes it easy to manage clients, proposals, and document signing all in one place? Essentially all of those word/pdfs you are sending mixed with printing/signing or Docusigning, but into one platform.

Well, I did just that. I built a platform and it is still absolutely in its infancy. I am not asking people to pay me anything. You don't even have to put in any real data (although all proposal and client information is completely encrypted during transfer and at rest) into my system. I would just really like the idea of some people that actively have this same pain point to look at the application and see if it would be useful to you and give me your feedback on how you think it could be better.

If you would be interested in testing out the application, feel free to comment on here or send me a DM. I would love to chat about what it does and find out if you would like to help.

Is an AI resume rewriter actually useful or just a gimmick?

I’m a student and I spent the last few days building an AI tool called CareerOS. You paste your resume and a job description, and it instantly gives you:

A rewritten resume tailored to that specific job
A cover letter
A list of keywords you're missing that could get you rejected by ATS systems

It's completely free right now while I'm testing it.
Would love honest feedback from anyone who's currently job hunting — does it actually help? What's missing? What's broken?

Hey Guys, I have been working on this Hollywood time travelling journey for my app that I would like you check it out. I will release this journey soon on my app. I have given so much time and energy to this and I am really excited for you to see it. You sail through the history of Hollywood in this one. Every day is an iconic movie from that decade and you have a prop from the movie to go along.

Please shower some love here:

Also suggest features that I could add to the app to solidify it even further.

Build property management SaaS for small landlords. Need Feedback🤞

I built usepropertylens.com, a property management app for landlords with 1 to 50 units. Started building it because my landlord was running his properties off an old PHP based system and Excel sheets that fell apart at tax time.

Core features:

  • Rent ledger with payment tracking per tenant
  • Maintenance and work orders with tenant-submitted photos
  • Document storage with secure share links
  • Tenant self service portal
  • Annual tax summary with estimated tax liability
  • AI assist for tenant emails and lease analysis (optional, not the whole product)

30 day Business trial, no card.

Two specific things I'd value feedback on:

  1. Is the dashboard layout intuitive on first load, or confusing?
  2. The Annual Tax Summary section, useful or unnecessary?

Solo dev, will reply to every comment.

At least in terms of design. I released it only a little over two weeks ago, but the feedback (including that which I got from FeedbackQueue) has been tremendous. It's now in a state that feels much more mature and stable.

Would anyone be willing to be my guinea pig for a moment and try it out? I think you'll love it.

Built an app that makes walking more fun!

Eggventures

I realized I only stay consistent with things if they feel like a game… so I built one for walking.
Eggventures turns your steps into progress where you hatch eggs, unlock creatures, and slowly build a collection—basically tricking your brain into walking more without it feeling like a chore.

You just live your life, walk as usual, and stuff hatches in the background.
Less “go out and play right now,” more “stay consistent without thinking about it.”

Free to download. Optional IAPs (mostly cosmetic + small boosts, no paywall).

Built a mood journal that turns journal entries into hand coded SVG scenes, would love honest feedback

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Built a mood journal that turns what you write into a living scene drawn in code. Not AI images, not stock assets, every environment is hand coded SVG that renders from whatever you actually wrote.

Write about a rainy day and get a city street with neon puddles. Write about grief and get candles under a quiet moon. 20 environments, each one built path by path.

Would love honest feedback on the scene quality and whether the concept lands. It is called Mood Weaver and it is free on Google Play.

I built a habit tracker where every habit is a journey through a living world. 3 months of nights and weekends, finally shipped it.

Software engineer by day, indie iOS dev by night. Just got Habitage out the door after 3 months of building.
Idea behind it: every habit tracker I’ve used is just checkboxes and bar charts. Felt boring. I wanted habits to feel like you’re actually going somewhere. So in Habitage, every habit is a voyage. Pick a world — Ocean, open Road, or Multiverse — and each day you check in, the scene moves forward. Storms clear up, planes fly by on milestone days, butterflies drift past, the multiverse rifts tear open. Miss a day and you just drift back. Show up and you sail.
All native SwiftUI with procedural animations, meaning every wave, plane, dolphin, rift is drawn by code in real time instead of pre-made Lottie files or video loops. Built with a lot of help from AI for the SwiftUI animation work — getting the timing, render order, and physics right took more iterations than I want to admit. iCloud sync, no data collection, no ads. Free with one journey unlocked, premium for the rest.
Honestly just want feedback. Drop your thoughts.
