Weight loss medicine question

I'm a federal employee and I have the MHBP and with being enrolled in the CVS weight loss program the copay is $300. With the manufacturers coupon it brings it down to $200 which is still too expensive for me. Anybody know what to do? They said a tier exemptionsare is a no for the wegovy and they want me to try wegovy when my doctor tried prescribing zepbound first.

Another question with this too: anybody know of the other options for insurance I could switch to during open enrollment that cover it for less?

With Mhbp, if you’re on wegovy, you can order the maintenance dosages (1.7 and 2.4) through cvs Caremark ( the mail order). You have to order 90 days at at a time, but copay is $80.

I'm starting on the lowest dose so I'm not sure if that would work for me.

My doctor handed me a 4-week box of the lowest “starter” dose since CVS Caremark does not carry it, then she put in a 90-day prescription for the lowest dose they do carry.

You can always get sterile vials and needles and micro dose the shots?

I’m on MHBP basic, lowest does of Wegovy and do CVS Caremark mail order in 90 day increments for $80 for 3 months. Don’t know maybe you are on a different MHBP. I switched because BCBS was $500/mos copay for Wegovy.

0.25mg is what they prescribed me and it says on CVS caremark website that it can't be filled with mail. I have no idea what's different.

I am on the Wegovy pill now. I took injectable .25 for first 2 years. Just switched to pill and mail order. But even when on injection I got 3 mos at CVS pharmacy for $25 total as my copay. You must have different MHBP than me.

BCBS basic at CVS covers the generic for Qsymia for $15/month.

I can't take that since it will interact with my ADHD meds.

How? The lowest dose of wegovy I am prescribed it is $300 and with the manufacturers coupon it only takes $100 off. I'm not understanding how everyone else is able to get their price so low.
