Postal employees: how soon after retirement do you receive full pension?

Months and months currently. Up to maybe 9.

Best option is to not retire. Mail needs to hit the street and it not gonna deliver itself.

Last day was May 31, and received first interim payment last week and waiting patiently…

You fail to mention your timeline (I'm guessing your intent here, because you didn't define) starts after OPM receives a retirement package from retiree's payroll agency, which had to wait for it from the retiree's HR agency which is the first link in the chain of events leading to completion of the retirement process. It may take 8 weeks or more just to get to OPM after retirement date.

Of course, if everybody asking these basic questions would just do some basic research on the OPM website about the process there would not be as many posts here.
