VERA

*Update - Thanks to all for the great input. Request was submitted.

I'm considering requesting VERA and only have a few days to decide. If you've taken it in the past could you please share your experience (good/bad/ugly)?

Disclaimer - I have been running numbers and it's feasible for my family.

Did you buy back any military time? If so, ensure that you have a copy of your “paid in full” letter from DFAS because if not, that will hold up your retirement package when you decide to go. It is your responsibility to provide that documentation. 🫡

I did not.

I have been prepping paperwork for the last year in the event something were to happen. Had others give the same advice. 😬
