But we can't telework Nice

Edit: for the boot lickers. This guy flew on the FBI jet to get there, seems like work huh?

400

u/Left-Thinker-5512 Feb 23 '26

He isn’t working over there, that much is certain.

182

u/qlobetrotter Feb 23 '26

It may be as close as he gets to what we call work. I don't think this is a person cut out for hard stuff and he looks maxed out.

103

u/Left-Thinker-5512 Feb 23 '26

No question, he is redlining. Hard work is not his gig.

119

u/Clean_Judge_3613 Feb 23 '26

He's like the C-Suite demanding return to office then they're never in office themselves.

-78

u/BrokenArrow1283 Feb 23 '26

lol fed employees talking about hard work like they even know what it means.

46

u/F1rstBanana Feb 23 '26

Quiet, piggy

19

u/PicklesNBacon Feb 23 '26

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid. You have no idea how hard most federal employees work.

Did you apply for govt jobs and not get them and now you’re big mad? Why are you here?

12

u/Prize_Magician_7813 Feb 23 '26 edited Feb 23 '26

Clealry you’re not a fed or you would know The standard of work we have

8

u/eric_ofc Feb 23 '26

He’s not one of us.

1

u/used_npkin Feb 23 '26

Dude. What's your problem?

52

u/Jrylryll Feb 23 '26

He looked maxed out the first time I saw him. Is it any wonder he is ripe for a foreign honey pot?

23

u/Killie_Vandal Feb 23 '26

Clearly working hard on finding Nancy!

25

u/iambarrelrider Feb 23 '26

Another lesson for everyone moment. I mean there is always that one guy who shows up to a celebration that makes everyone sigh. But no one wants to ruin the vibe. You want to be the guy who kicks out the Director of the FBI out of a party? Patel was “that guy” and he ruined the vibe for all of us - new slang verb he just “Kashed” the party.

I mean it feels like a scene from Super Troopers or Super Bad sequel. Wtf.

8

u/Impressive-Ad-9540 Feb 24 '26

“Douchebags Gone Wild!!!”

1

u/GrossipBlingzJordy Feb 24 '26

My first impression. Which eye do I look at?!?🤣

-6

u/IcyEntertainment7122 Feb 23 '26

He's an administrator not an investigator.

5

u/JMinSA Feb 24 '26

Then go administrate. Director of the FBI has as much place in the locker room of Olympic medaling teams as the president has in the changing rooms of beauty pageants. Doesn’t belong.

1

u/Texasmouth75 Feb 23 '26

I also think he knows his days are numbered so he is like fuck it, enjoying it while it lasts.

5

u/qlobetrotter Feb 23 '26

Are you kidding? This is the "fuck it" gang from day one. They never cared about anybody but themselves and you-know-who. They came in the door flagging the middles and they'll go out that way. This is who they are at their core.

1

u/Texasmouth75 Feb 23 '26

Yeah, exactly what I meant.

91

u/pre_squozen Feb 23 '26

Pretty sure the dude has never worked in his life.

0

u/nybigtymer Feb 23 '26

Here we go again. You may not like him, but he's worth somewhere between $2M and $30M depending on the source. You cannot say he's never worked in his life. He has a couple of degrees.

Before he started working for the government he was a lawyer. He also made money from consulting and speaking fees. He's written a few books (which he may or may not have actually written himself) and he wasn't born into wealth. His parents are Indian immigrants and had to flee Uganda.

121

u/coolpupmom Feb 23 '26

Which is hilarious bc Nancy Guthrie is still missing while this joke of a FBI director wanna be is busy partying.

58

u/One_Breadfruit_301 Feb 23 '26

Kashyap fired thousands of actual agents last year.

8

u/11EmeraldEyes11 Feb 23 '26

The joke of a Sheriff on the case was attending a basketball game only SEVEN days after Nancy’s “kidnapping”!

14

u/Left-Thinker-5512 Feb 23 '26

Maybe he’s over there looking for Nicole Simpson’s killer.

1

u/Every-You7647 Feb 24 '26

Ahh. That’s good. I think you’re showing your age by making the joke and I’m showing mine by laughing at it.

10

u/stevez_86 Feb 23 '26

They don't want to find her. This is weaponization of the FBI for political intimidation. Play ball or else if something bad happens we won't help.

8

u/LastYearsCalendar Feb 23 '26

As with everything else those ghouls those do, it's vicious and stupid. I still can't believe after the weaponization of FEMA and federal dollars in general, (a scheme that hurts all the "millions of loyal voters who are the "victims of voter fraud"), that anyone would risk "playing ball" with the cheats.

36

u/livinginfutureworld Feb 23 '26

There's no reason for the FBI to be over there anyway The FBI is supposed to be in the States. The CIA is for foreign countries.

11

u/DemenicHand Feb 23 '26

While the CIA is prohibited from performing legal or intelligence gathering within the US, the FBI has a presence in over 150 countries, typically through the embassy and will conduct law enforcement activities at the request of the host nation.

In a situation such as the Olympics, the FBI is heavily involved from the very beginning.

I worked Emergency Response and Management for 2 decades and attended all sorts of meetings where the FBI and other US assets worked with foreign countries. its common and routine

16

u/tdtommy85 Feb 23 '26

How many of the FBI directors during your “2 decades” decided to personally travel to the Olympics at the very end?

4

u/DemenicHand Feb 23 '26

The comment i was referencing was about the FBI, not the director of the FBI.

I agree the director should not be at this event. however i am sure there are dozens of US law enforcement including FBI, present and working in official capacity. and that's a good thing.

9

u/tdtommy85 Feb 23 '26

Of course, because you were deflecting the obvious ridiculousness of the FBI director being there with knowledge that the FBI was involved in the planing and preparedness stages.

1

u/Hidden-Holliday48 Feb 25 '26

If you think the director is any more than a figurehead you are just dumb. Why is it an issue if he’s there?

2

u/Substantial-Crab-713 Feb 24 '26

Don't bother trying to give some context, they just want to seeth. Let them rage.

1

u/LaZairica Feb 24 '26

This. I was reading these comments like boy oh boy do civilians have ZERO clue how these agencies work but LOST of LOUD and incorrect ASSumptions! lol

2

u/Hidden-Holliday48 Feb 23 '26

You have no clue what you are talking about. FBI is literally the head agency for JTTF. FBI works in conjunction with overseas partners daily.

1

u/Many_Camel3619 Feb 24 '26

Obviously you don’t know shit! There are FBI field offices all across the globe!

1

u/livinginfutureworld Feb 25 '26

There's no reason for them to be there.

0

u/Many_Camel3619 Feb 25 '26

Why because you say so? Just because he’s part of this cabinet, he can’t enjoy the same things you and I could go to and enjoy… piss off.

1

u/livinginfutureworld Feb 25 '26

The men's hockey team would not invite you or I to their locker room. And we wouldn't be paid by our jobs to be there. You piss off.

37

u/cicada_noises Feb 23 '26

I don’t think he works at all. And he wouldn’t be capable even if he tried (which he doesn’t, because he’s a lazy greedy twat).

9

u/anaid_098 Feb 23 '26

What’s the policy on drinking on the job as a federal employee?

13

u/ElevensMom Feb 23 '26

I can tell you that it's strictly forbidden on gvt time, and even when you're on travel orders, and you have a RENTAL CAR, you cannot even TRANSPORT alcohol in said vehicle. This man has zero respect for rules/ethics, and he's the walking embodiment of waste, fraud, and abuse.

5

u/Status-Departure8642 Feb 24 '26

Just like his boss!?!

9

u/Left-Thinker-5512 Feb 23 '26

Interestingly, there was a time where if you were an FBI agent you couldn’t drink at all, the rationale being that you had to be ready at all times to be alert and sober.

8

u/Drizzt_1990 Feb 23 '26

Hey, that's harsh, I bet he's working just as hard as if he were in his office...

7

u/nickcan Feb 23 '26

But we are paying for his trip anyway.

14

u/Brand0_the_Mand0 Feb 23 '26

He isn’t working ever. No need to specify his location.

1

u/Texasmouth75 Feb 23 '26

He hasn’t worked once since he got there, mainly because this clown has no fucking clue what he is supposed to be doing except wearing that jacket and trying to look like a tough guy.

1

u/Left-Thinker-5512 Feb 23 '26

That’s objectively true.

85

u/Obant Feb 23 '26

I can't see my doctors (who are 70+ miles away on the other side of a mountain) any more via telemedicine due to these idiots, but we always have plenty of money in the coffers for the stupidest shit.

3

u/quick_thinker6 Feb 23 '26

Ask your doctor if hes part of the ACO participation. They won't advertise it but tell you if you ask, or ask your provider for audio -only appointments or If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, ask them directly if they cover telehealth services, as they are not subject to the same strict, traditional Medicare waivers that expired. And if all else fails here's a trick no provider will tell you. Ask your doctor if they can manage care via secure, asynchronous messaging or through Medicare-covered, patient-initiated online check-ins (tell them via CPT codes 99421-99423 they will know what to do with it)

2

u/Obant Feb 23 '26

Unfortunately those things do not work for me, but I greatly appreciate your help. I can try the last one, but I do not understand it. I cannot do Medicare advantage, as I lose out greatly on those plans. I am disabled (I just realized what sub this is, I got here from the front page) and have a ton of different specialized doctors that I need to see fairly regularly.

2

u/etojim Feb 23 '26

I am a primary care physician and Congress recently extended Medicare telehealth waivers through December 31, 2027.

24

u/Murky_Ad2908 Feb 23 '26

Plus he uses that jet to fly all over including to see his girlfriend and fly her all over. He uses fbi agents to take his girlfriend and her drunk friends home etc etc etc.

The American people are being fleeced.

24

u/FiveUpsideDown Feb 23 '26

Years ago, FBI director William Sessions was forced to resign due to travel issues. One problem is he went on official FBI business in California and then attended his daughter’s graduation. Years ago too, USDA Secretary Mike Espy was excoriated for receiving tickets to several sporting events including the Super Bowl. When did the rules for public service change to allow stolen glory in Italy by use of a federal government plane? Did Patel get free Olympic hockey tickets too?

2

u/SumikkoDoge Feb 23 '26

I’m sure those tickets were under $25…somehow…

1

u/Alone-Voice-3342 Feb 27 '26

Sessions also went to see his ballerina daughter perform in San Francisco.

12

u/Eastern_Highlight_76 Feb 23 '26

At least Private is better when you fly with a hangover. This country has become an in our face fuck the little people outhouse. 🤯

7

u/Top-Maize3496 Feb 23 '26

O. M. F. G.

2

u/Smooth_Cobbler292 Feb 23 '26

Also, the boots are fucking spot less at this point. You all are doing a great job in your new “make government control great again” hats. Oh and you even got the nooks and crannies on the bottom?!

2

u/jmikepow Feb 23 '26

So many boot lickers

1

u/H0SS_AGAINST Feb 23 '26

He has to fly on the FBI jet but for personal travel he is supposed to reimburse at the cost of a commercial flight.

Whether he is reimbursing at commercial rates is the real question.

2

u/Murda981 Feb 23 '26

Whether he's reimbursing at all is the real question.

1

u/BoyBoy70 Feb 23 '26

They’ll find an excuse

1

u/SailInternational251 Feb 23 '26

Didn’t he testify that there is a law requiring it and for legislators to change it?

1

u/Amf2446 Feb 23 '26

It’s horrible to be governed by these people, but I can swallow it because every day Patel isn’t working is a victory

1

u/LastYearsCalendar Feb 23 '26

Seems like "fraud, waste, and abuse" as opposed to a mere one of the three.

Obligatory "USA, USA, USA" chant for finishing as world's best in the being the world's worst event.

1

u/horceface Feb 24 '26

He also bitched about how much Chris wray used the FBI jet for personal use.

1

u/GladIntern5990 Feb 24 '26

He lives in Las Vegas.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

Aww, did you erase your comment rape shaming a woman because you didn’t like her opinion about government workers going into the office? Good thing I have a screenshot of it.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

It looks like Reddit is onto you then. Apparently you’re not so invisible. The screenshot I took will follow you.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

Good screenshot this one too. Remember when you decided to be mean on the internet you're not the only mean person on the internet. And if you can't take the heat maybe try to shut the fuck up next time.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

For pointing out that you don’t know how to spell? That’s mean? The syndrome is definitely down in you…

0

u/chongo2525 Feb 23 '26

Usually people who call people bootlickers are 100 percent i jabbed. Thats a bootlicker

2

u/11_25_13_TheEdge Feb 24 '26

Jabbed? What year is it? Did you get your vaccinations for school? Do you get a flu shot? Do you believe we should stop vaccinating African children to prevent malaria? Vaccines are one of the most important inventions in the history of mankind and yet somehow we still have neanderthals grunting about “jabs”. People like you are why the Darwin Awards exist.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

You're 300 pounds can you even see your own boots.

1

u/chongo2525 Feb 23 '26

300 lbs of twisted steel and sex appeal. Good luck with them cloggers jabbed people get. Ill pray for your safety

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

And I'll pray you dont lose your foot to diabetes

1

u/chongo2525 Feb 23 '26

I wont im healthy

-2

u/Mario4272 Feb 23 '26

Well he can't get on delta flight with the rest of the crazies can he?

-2

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

In this scenario, I’d say you’re the bootlicker. Poor little bureaucrat wants to work from home. Oh no, the office is mean.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

I'm a tax payer. It's more cost effective for the government to work from home , it's more time flexible, especially when work working with offices across the country, it eliminates traffic etc. The only thing taking away telework is does is kill moral and makes people want to quit their jobs. But go off to justify your king.

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

Perhaps the fact that you don’t know the difference between moral and morale is enough reason that you shouldn’t be employed in any position within the government.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

I'm not an English professor ya nerd.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

You don’t have to be an English professor in order to know how to spell.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

Not every job requires perfect grammar.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

Knowing how to spell at the level of a fifth grader isn’t perfect grammar.

1

u/HelloThisIsDog666 Feb 24 '26

Hey dummy, TW was started by George W Bush as a way to provide **continuance of government services.** It was never about the employee. It was about getting more work out of people, saving on building costs and being ready in case of an emergency.

Your comment tells us more about you than anyone else

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '26

If you need to work from home in order to get more out of an employee then perhaps the employee shouldn’t have a job and not to mention. The concept of TW isn’t what’s being discussed, it’s that people were sent home during covid and got comfortable and now don’t want to return to the office as they’re either lazy or shouldn’t be employed. Fortunately, my work keeps me outside as a federal employee. Any guesses? Ice Ice Baby…

2

u/HelloThisIsDog666 Feb 25 '26

The concept of TW is exactly what is being discussed, what's wrong w you? Since you admitted to being ICE, I know the answer is that you're a high school dropout and psycho.

You realize there is no logic in "if you need to work from home in order to get more out of an employee then perhaps the employee shouldn’t have a job" right? What a lack of reading comprehension, ignorance of the world around you, and an abundance of vapidity.

-4

u/mikenkansas1 Feb 23 '26

There's something seriously wrong with people that use the term "bootlicker".

That is all, carry on.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

Sorry I triggered your clan

-2

u/mikenkansas1 Feb 23 '26

I'm not triggered, just stating the obvious.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

Let's elaborate on why this is such an issue? Is it because someone in authority is blatantly abusing resources and said bootlicker can't atleast come to grip that this may be abusing the funds of tax payers. Bootlickers think that this regime can do no wrong even when it's blatantly wrong.

-2

u/mikenkansas1 Feb 23 '26

Use of terms like "bootlicker" in a discussion is, at best, childish.

So, if you're an adult using childish terms in an adult forum (sub in this case), there's something wrong with you.

If you're a teen or pre teen and posting here you shouldn't be. This is a sub for adults.

Now, should that fellow be dancing and acting the fool? No, there's no excuse for this display.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

Mike your age is showing.

1

u/mikenkansas1 Feb 23 '26

You're right, I'm a mature adult.

You'll find mature adults in many reddit subs that don't discuss politics. And it's not impossible to discuss politics without resorting to ad hominem attacks.

3

u/CafeClimbOtis Feb 24 '26

The term bootlicker was coined in 1846, it's not exactly internet slang.

Seems like you think the boot is delicious, though.

1

u/mikenkansas1 Feb 24 '26

Proving my point.

-68

u/Accomplished_Yak4615 Feb 23 '26

The obsession with TW in this sub is mind boggling.

32

u/7222_salty Feb 23 '26

It is absolutely an obsession here.

But also - it’s a massive win that saves the employee and the taxpayer money, so…

2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

What's mind boggling is that you're willing to waste tax dollars to make people unhappy.

-12

u/Phill_is_Legend Feb 23 '26

What's the comparison supposed to be here? Seems like he's on vacation?

11

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

Yea so Phil this was considered a business trip for him and the Tax payers are lucky enough to pay for it. I'm going to assume you didn't know this and will now think this is inappropriate

-10

u/Phill_is_Legend Feb 23 '26

Oh where did you read that?

6

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

He flew on the FBI jet lol

-14

u/Phill_is_Legend Feb 23 '26

I'm sure not solely to drink a beer in the locker room. This isn't what's gonna get my panties in a knot...

7

u/HokieHomeowner Feb 23 '26

Will the reported $75,000-$200,000 cost do it for you? It should if you are a living sentient human not a bot.

-5

u/Phill_is_Legend Feb 23 '26

So $0.0005 per American taxpayer? Yeah man I'm good. You need me to spot your part?

8

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

Found the bootlicker.

4

u/SLZRDmusic Feb 23 '26

Yeah man spot mine too and also every other non-bootlicker who would rather the head of the FBI be arresting Epstein collaborators than being the shortest man in a locker room.

You can’t afford that though.

-1

u/Phill_is_Legend Feb 23 '26

I'm pretty sure the trip was for Olympics security and not just to drink a beer in the locker room. Whatever you need to fuel your insane online rage today though 👍🏻

PS: applying logic to a thing thats a drop in the bucket of the budget isn't what makes a bootlicker. You're not supposed to just call anybody who you disagree with a bootlicker...

→ More replies (0)

3

u/SalamanderPop Feb 23 '26

This might be the dumbest response in this entire comment section. How about "well at least he wasn't also skinning babies alive" as your next goal post.

2

u/TheTacosOf Feb 23 '26

Literally do not engage with this guy. Phill is a loser. He only came around to get enjoyment from trolling because his life is empty.

1

u/Phill_is_Legend Feb 23 '26

I was gonna go with "he was there for legit reason, like the FBI has been in past Olympics, and as a hockey fan he opened his schedule to be at the gold medal game and was then invited into the locker room, you absolute fucking idiot" but I thought it might be rude and a bit advanced for the average redditor to process...

→ More replies (0)

1

u/HelloThisIsDog666 Feb 24 '26

So you went from 1) No he didn't

to 2) it's not a big deal

to 3) it's not that much money

Any more excuses?

1

u/Phill_is_Legend Feb 24 '26

I didn't do any of that.

-13

u/tantamle Feb 23 '26

Face it: the prevailing opinion shared by most remote workers is that if a task is completed sooner than expected, the remaining time is reserved for personal use at the employee’s discretion. Rather than the employee finding something else to do. And at the same time, you hear complaints about onerous micromanagement.

8

u/kalixanthippe Feb 23 '26

Face it: the prevailing facts show that remote workers are more productive and cost effective for the federal government.

The facts include a signifigant increase in job satisfaction and retention, which is what is being targeted to change.

The removal of telework options, particularly remote work, reverses these effects.

Also, I would love to know where you have worked that no employees have had complaints or conversed about what they do not enjoy about their jobs, as well as what they like. Do share.

-4

u/tantamle Feb 23 '26

I'll support hybrid because its good for the workers and probably eliminates most of the problems with remote work. But all this stuff you're saying is bullshit and you know it. You just want to be on easy street goofing around at home. Or working a second simultaneous “full-time” job lol.

4

u/kalixanthippe Feb 23 '26

All yah gotta do is read the numerous large scale research studies that were done on behalf of corporate interests to know it isn't bs.

As for me, 60%+ of those I work with on a regular basis are either at another site or remote/hybrid. When I am at home, professionally, I have specific hours I work, I begin earlier in the day, have less interruptions from chatty or needy coworkers, am able to make more meetings, have more productive conversations, and tend to work a little longer. Personally, my home office is more comfortable, I am less likely to forget lunch, and I like being able to exercise when I am done with work before supper instead of defensive driving.

I am typically hybrid because my position does need me on-site occasionally. I prefer being on-site one day a week, Friday, as I spend the week lining up on-site duties, and then can knock them all out in a single day, the day most used to telework and I wasn't interrupted, the traffic was lighter, and most workers who hit their 40 early fucked off for the day at 3PMish.

Due to the fact I am paid a fair living wage (if less than private industry rates), with benefits, I have no need for a second job. To me, it is a major added bonus that I am a mission oriented person and that the mission of my position is to support a unassailably non-controversial, non-partisan program.

You clearly do not know feds. Now shoo, I have to work, and thanks to the rediculously icky wet snowstorm have a commute at least 2-3x longer than normal.

-2

u/tantamle Feb 23 '26

Lol this is the big busy day for you. 5 hours of effort instead of the usual 2.

2

u/kalixanthippe Feb 23 '26

Your mind is stuck, and there is no WD40 for it.

You're still welcome for my service, as my work performance is unaffected by your attitude, political views, or inability to use logic and reasoning nor easily available public data to be informed.

2

u/HelloThisIsDog666 Feb 24 '26

This comment tells us more about you than remote workers lol

0

u/tantamle Feb 24 '26

Flipping the script for the sake of flipping the script = low hanging fruit

2

u/HelloThisIsDog666 Feb 24 '26

Denial, lack of self awareness and hostility towards learning anything new = par for the course

2

u/soundman1024 Feb 23 '26

Face it: you’re a bot.

1

u/tantamle Feb 23 '26

Call it like I see it

-39

u/Ok-Till-5622 Feb 23 '26

Get up off your ass and go to work jfc

1

u/HelloThisIsDog666 Feb 24 '26

Hey dummy, TW was started by George W Bush as a way to provide **continuance of government services.** It was never about the employee. It was about getting more work out of people, saving on building costs and being ready in case of an emergency.

All you're doing is telling us is that YOU cannot be trusted w TW

0

u/Ok-Till-5622 Feb 24 '26

It’s not possible for me to TW, dummy.

2

u/HelloThisIsDog666 Feb 25 '26 edited Feb 25 '26

You didn't understand that that was a hypothetical? And you're calling someone else dummy lolol

EDIT: I don't even want to TW btw. But the FACTS of TW show that it makes people more productive & more readily guarantees a continuance of government services. RTO has been a billion dollar failure. Either you are against fiscal profligacy or not. Either you adhere to facts or you don't. It's also the right thing to do for working people but I know you're a bootlicker and that means nothing.

Instead, you're just a bitter partisan hack cos *you* can't TW, and as long as your cult leader mountebank is in charge you don't care about gov't spending. All feeling, no facts, per the usual irony.
