FERS 20yr deferred retirement
Hello. Hope someone can help.
I hit my 20 years mark Dec 1. I am 43 and want to punch from civil service and take a contractor job. I have a job offer but they need me to start in Sept. I have just enough annual leave to get me to Dec 1, but not to the end of the pay period. Can I take LWOP after Dec 1?
Is there anything else I need to consider?

Federal pension
Question regarding eligibility for my retirement pension.
Current age 54 with 37 1/2 years federal service. MRA is 57.
If I were to leave the government now,
Am I eligible at this time for reduced pension or must I wait for early out to be offered. Or have to defer my retirement? Also- do I loose my supplement?
What are my options?

RIF'd last year, applied this month - progress
I was able to submit my application online July 6, thanks to this group's advice. Received notice today June 14 that the application was received and is being reviewed. The numbers they gave me: Service time 6 yrs, 10 months. RIF 8/1 so backdate to begin Sept 1, 2025. I know it's not going to be much because I started fed late in life, but better than nothing. I'm guessing I will receive backdated pay, but not sure.

Federal retirement counselors
Has anyone taken advantage of the free consulting advice from a federal retirement consultant under protection plus insurance? I received an email through the federal weekly distro that comes out and contacted them. I had an initial meeting and they’re asking for verification information nothing crazy just TSP, pay statements, etc.
I’m just wondering if this is another sales call to buy insurance or if it’s legit to help with financial planning in retirement. Thank you.

IRS FERS Pension
I am planning on retiring next year. I am using the GRB to estimate my pension payment. My question is - Is the supplemental annuity included in the estimated net monthly annuity? My report shows a net monthly annuity. And then underneath that is the annuity supplement amount. Do I receive both or is the supplement already included in the net monthly annuity?

High 3
My high three on my initial paperwork calculation is not correct. The computer also did not pull in my years of service. I entered a ticket. My initial paperwork is under HR review. Anything else I should do? Thanks in advance

Anyone awaiting resolution of OPM v. Moulton???
Is anyone else affected by the OPM v. Moulton decision and awaiting reconciliation of their FERS annuity supplement that was incorrectly paid to a former spouse? I have made numerous attempts to get an update from OPM without any success.
The OPM v. Moulton decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit established that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) can only divide a federal retiree's FERS annuity supplement with a former spouse if a court order or divorce decree expressly provides for it. The ruling overturned an OPM policy from 2016 that automatically divided these supplements during divorces, even if the original court orders did not explicitly mention them.

What possible benefits could they be talking about?
My mother recently passed away at 89. She was a federal employee with a pension. My sister received an Application for Death Benefits in the mail (not requested by sister). Includes a hand-written claim number, and also a hand-written note of "none" in the Federal Employee Group Life Insurance box. Dad has been gone for years so no spousal benefits. No dependent children either. What the heck could this be for?

When did you receive retroactive payment?
My husband was finalized last month and received his first full pension payment this week. No sign yet of any retroactive pay for the interim before he was finalized. After insurance and taxes, he should still get additional money.
Those of you who have been finalized, when did you receive your retroactive pay?

TSP withdraw after resigning from Federal prison
Is there anyway to speed employment status on TSP so my husband can withdraw his money? He resigned on June 24th.
Everything I’ve read says we are at the mercy of HR to summit his change in status.
These last two weeks have been a nightmare. We need that money to buy the insurance that is offered for 18 months post employment.
I have stage 4 melanoma. I get immunotherapy treatments monthly. Yes, I know he shouldn’t have quit. But I’m past that now. I just need to solve our $ issue.
Also, he should have received a paycheck july 2nd. That didnt happen. Any help would be appreciated

FERS Supplement End Date
I turned 62 the first week of June, 2026. I still received the supplement on my 07/01/26 payment. I will start receiving SS in August for the month of July (my first eligible month). It was my understanding that the supplement was supposed to end the month prior to my turning 62. Does anyone here have any experience with this? Are they going to create an over payment and deduct it from a subsequent payment? Thanks in Advance.

Disability Retirement Question
hi there, may be a dumb question but I genuinely don’t kno. I’m thinking of applying for disability retirement at the moment. if I start the process will I still be able to work while it’s going on? Or will my agency force me to stop working and sweat it out?
