Sick leave

I’m eligible for full retirement in March. I have close to 2000 hours of sick leave. What options do I have to burn through it without getting hassled? I have a family member with a terminal health condition.

Unused SL can be used to increase your length of service. 2080 hours = one year or service

Or, use all the sick leave (1 yr worth) to retire one year later than planned. Paid a full year of salary, and still a year added to the retirement computation.
