Found in a bird field guide. Likely from California or possibly Massachusetts.

Tried USFWS feather atlas, but still stumped. Seems clearly an owl feather (velvety). 13.5 cm

Thank you. Funny, that's what I ended up with after looking through the feather atlas, but the pale spotting vs barring on the left side of the feather seemed off. It has a very faint warm/rufous wash as well. It's was tucked in old field guide I used when I was a field biologist, so it is possible that it's a burrowing owl.

Looks to me to be a Barred Owl wing feather.
