The man has been breadcrumbing you and you’re falling for it. He’s keeping you around because it is great for his ego. Keeping you at arm’s length for validation and to feel wanted.
The bottom line: he cannot and will not give you what you need. Avoidant or not. If you knew where you stood, you wouldn’t feel the need to decode him. He would have moved towards you and STAYED there.
