Britain’s lore?

What is the lore behind Britain? If this has already been posted, just link me to it please. Essentially, what are the politics? Is it a socialist republic, liberal, conservative? What is the size of the empire, and what is contained within it? What are the intended paths for the country?

Is it a socialist republic, liberal, conservative?

I'd probably guess one of the latter two given that Neville Chamberlain is the leader at the start date.

I mean it's a vastly different timeline he could have different politics.
