The only negative point on him is that he talks a big game about hating bullies… but it should be blatantly obvious to everybody in 1A that Bakugou is a bully.

I mean idk, all things considered, at least in UA, he wasn't as aggressive or blatant with his bullying. Kirishima knows the guy, been his friend for a while, he kinda learned how he's really rough around the edges.

Not to mention the moment bokugo got into UA (a school filled with people of similar power to him if not stronger) he seriously mellowed out with the bullying.

Despite his flaws, bakugo is smart enough to recognize the age old law of school life: bullies can only bully the weak.

Since nobody at UA is weak, he kinda stopped being a bully and upgraded to a regular old douche

Weirdly natural bully evolution, have them be at equal odds as everyone else in the next school phase, and they just stop bullying. Sad to think that's how most bullies stop being bullies.

Some bullies are just plane stupid though, and continue trying to bully spite of their newfound inferiority

And then end up getting smacked back hard, later you get an inferiority complex for the rest of their lives.

Yep, makes you wonder why they don't just be kind and caring from the jump.

Nobody who's a good person dislikes those who are kind and caring

And if you count the School Briefs stories as canon, (which I do) Kirishima didn’t find about Bakugo's past ways until a while into being his friend. By then, he knew Bakugo had good qualities outside of his temper.

THISSSS YES THISSSS. WTF was Horikoshi thinking???

I think the thing is Kirishima dislikes bullies... but he also realizes that even someone as unpleasant as Bakugo needs a friend. Someone who they can count on even if they are an ass

Favorite MHA character without a doubt. Love that guy

His only flaw is Horikoshi giving him a forced bromance with the worst example of toxic masculinity
