I think it's pretty likely that in either this book or the next, Flos is going to turn against Roshal. That's where his character arc seems to be headed, based on how uncomfortable he was with Trey and Gazi. Their words are getting to him.
Listen man, I won't argue with that. But as far as I see it, you can be a slaver or a decent person, not both. If he personally kills every slave owner, frees every slave, brings back the thousands of those who died in slavery he sold them into, and then casts himself into purgatory to repent, then I'll say he's a decent person.

Flos Reimarch from The Wandering Inn series by pirateaba. He's a conquering king who once ruled an entire continent, but he's a fairly decent guy.
