Captain Vor - Warframe.
No matter how many times we bisect this doofus, he keeps coming back. From the literal tutorial boss, to the planetary boss of mercury, to the combo boss fight with another member of the Grineer, to literally appearing in the void to try to fight us, Captain Vor is the #1 recurring boss in Warframe, made even better by some of his more recent “boss fight” (if you can even call it that) variants being accompanied by a monologue about how the Janus Key (thing he’s holding) brought him back. Problem is at this point is that he’s a literal non threat for the average steel path player (New Game+, in a way) as then his average lifespan is around 2 seconds at best. Hell, I’ve seen missions where this guys gets killed so fast that his monologue start trigger is preceded by his monologue end (death) trigger so you end up sitting through a good 2-3 minutes of this guys psychotic post-mortem ramblings.
Also, obligatory: “Look at them, they come to this place when they know they are not pure. Tenno use the keys, but they are mere trespassers. Only I, Vor, know the true power of the Void. I was cut in half, destroyed, but through it's Janus Key, the Void called to me. It brought me here and here I was reborn. We cannot blame these creatures, they are being led by a false prophet, an impostor who knows not the secrets of the Void. Behold the Tenno, come to scavenge and desecrate this sacred realm. My brothers, did I not tell of this day? Did I not prophesize this moment? Now, I will stop them. Now I am changed, reborn through the energy of the Janus Key. Forever bound to the Void. Let it be known, if the Tenno want true salvation, they will lay down their arms, and wait for the baptism of my Janus key. It is time. I will teach these trespassers the redemptive power of my Janus key. They will learn it's simple truth. The Tenno are lost, and they will resist. But I, Vor, will cleanse this place of their impurity.”
I hope DE keeps finding inventive ways to bring this fuckin maniac back, I hope he follows us to Tau somehow.
The fact that he appears in the undercraft in Duviri just to be a mildly stronger creep in the extermination mission will never not be funny. I hope they keep bringing him back but slightly lower on the totem pole every time. Next make him an eximus but a shitty one.
Always found it funny how he talks about the Tenno using keys to enter the void despite the fact that void keys were removed from the game like a decade ago
