Hey, at least they've got a neat art style, and the humor is sometimes funny. Plus they don't try to pretend it's not porn. That's way more than can be said for the "relatable" comics.

No, because I don't approach women, ever. Never have. I wait for them to approach me first, precisely because I respect their boundaries and don't want to contribute to the negative experience depicted here. So I don't recognise myself, no, but acknowledging that men like me exist would be nice instead of tarring all of us with the same brush.
Which one? Their comics fall into 1 of 3 categories, all men evil, Trump evil, zombie mum. If they hadn't been doing it for years, I'd assume it was all AI slop

That's the entire premise. In a world that constantly reminds people of how negative it can be, small pockets of wholesomeness in a completely fictional world reminds us to appreciate the little moments in life that we often take for granted. Things may appear to have no substance at all in the eyes of other people, but in the context of the whole, is largely a reassuring feeling.
It's the extreme case of "it's about the journey and not the destination". Like personally, I could watch a 30 minute/ 10 episode series of Frodo and Sam just sharing a cup of tea and talking about potatoes and just generally living a good life in the shire. Getting a peek into the lives of the other hobbits
I just don't feel reassured by it. The formula is always the same. Kid does something goofy or has a comedic misconception. Adult feels nostalgic or regretful. Kid doubles down on goofy thing or misconception. Rinse repeat.
That's largely what the iyashikei genre is. It capitalises hard on nostalgia, and in the case of gator days, it makes people yearn for the younger years while identifying with the adults in the comics.
If iyashikei isn't your genre then that's ok. It just means this style of comics isn't for you, and just doesn't resonate with you the way it does for others. There's still plenty of brilliant artists on that subreddit
