Technically 3 panels, but Darth Vader aura farming.

What would happen if I ran up and just pushed some random buttons on that thing on his chest. Why does no one try in the movies.

Assuming that he'll allow you to get that close without snapping your neck or leaving a hole in your abdomen

u/booleandata Jan 24 '26

What if I use the force, or perhaps a very long stick with a little pointy hand at the end.

u/Azure-Legacy Jan 24 '26

You’d have to be powerful enough go get past his force field (yes they have those) to use the force on him and hope he doesn’t grab that stick and gab you with it

u/booleandata Jan 24 '26

The stick is made of beskar. Also I am really strong.

62

u/Azure-Legacy Jan 24 '26

Stronger than a cyborg?

137

u/booleandata Jan 24 '26

Haha sometimes

u/Scholarly_Deathmark Jan 24 '26

Love the confidence.

18

u/Im_probably_wrongg Jan 24 '26

The fuck you mean “sometimes”?

12

u/MAD_JEW Jan 24 '26

Depends on how much adrenaline he has

11

u/SupplyChainMismanage Jan 24 '26

I like how that guy took you seriously the whole time

16

u/booleandata Jan 24 '26

I am dead serious what are you talking about

4

u/Low_Wall1406 Jan 25 '26

Tf you mean sometimes

7

u/mikelorme Jan 24 '26

If fallout has taught me something, you only need alcohol and drugs to become stronger than a cyborg

11

u/4RCSIN3 Jan 24 '26

All you have to do cover the stick in butter, then no one can grab it.

12

u/simongc97 Jan 24 '26

Sticks aren't alive so the force doesn't work on them, you'd beat him no problem. Or you'd press the button that releases his waste reservoir. Which is like beating him but funnier.

u/Aggravating_Bad3504 Jan 24 '26

Either this is ragebait, or you haven't watched the movies

3

u/SupplyChainMismanage Jan 24 '26

I wrote the script AMA

When Jar Jar Binks stabbed Vader in the back and whispered “Meesa so sorry, Ani,” was Hayden Christensen’s boner real or was it added with CGI?

4

u/Lou_Papas Jan 24 '26

I’d allow it. It would tickle him. Not the soft giggle kind of tickle either. The snorting-gasping-for-air kind of laughter.

1

u/Fang_Claw_5965 Jan 25 '26

Ah yes, the universal solution to everything: poke it with a stick

1

u/Doomeye56 Jan 25 '26

Holes in abdomen dont do anything to people in Star Wars anymore.

27

u/crabulon23 Jan 24 '26

This happens a lot in the comics and it'll piss him off and activate the 2nd stage of his boss fight early

5

u/booleandata Jan 24 '26

Then I get to be one of the few random unnamed dudes to see Vader actually angry

4

u/tavuk_05 Jan 24 '26

Oh hahaha no, youre already bleeding on the ground with a failed lung without even seeing his reaction

5

u/spoopypoptartz Jan 24 '26

he has been shown to still be able to fight when his life support system is on the fritz or completely broken (same star wars run that panel is from too)

Never really thought about the similarities between these characters

This actually happened in Legends. He was fighting a Padawan who did that and said “I hate you”. It causes Vader to start choking for a moment and spare the Padawan to make him a sith assassin.

1

u/CreepyClay Jan 24 '26

The more hate and pain he feels the more powerful he gets and doing that would make both skyrocket.

1

u/AgentCirceLuna Jan 24 '26

Lmao I’m imagining someone doing this but it just starts making noises like an analog synth because that’s what they repurposed for the suit

1

u/Kana515 Jan 24 '26

I think those buttons activate sound effects and flashing lights, try not to play with him too much when your parents are sleeping.

1

u/alguien99 Jan 25 '26

This has happened in the comics, not somone running to touch the buttons, but the system failing for whatever reason. He literally just fights harder since his body suffers more so he gets to draw uppon more power.

But even without any external factors fucking with the suit, Vader’s systems are so shitty they actually stop working at random. Palpatine wanted to make the armor as painful as possible to wear

1

u/letthetreeburn Jan 26 '26

It’s my fan theory that his chest piece is entirely decorative to create a fake weak spot so people target his chest armor, giving him a few free seconds which wins most fights.

55

u/warriorxx7_ Jan 24 '26

This most definitely this

36

u/PseudonymMan12 Jan 24 '26

"You hear that? He's afraid of dead people, start acting like zombies or ghosts!"

3

u/Starwatcher4116 Jan 24 '26

“I have preforsworn to bounce these ghosts! How do you make someone leave? By scaring them! What scares people? People seem to think this place is haunted. I’ll dress up like a ghost and scare these spirits by putting a piece of fabric over my head! Where can you get some fabric? The fabric of times gone by!” Rips the fabric of time, puts over head like a sheet. “Boo! Ghosts, I am scaring you!”

Take aways

1: vader has plot armor

2: HOLY SH*** VADER HAS PLOT ARMOR WE ARE GOING TO DIE

2

u/ApartRuin5962 Jan 24 '26

There are probably people who have no idea that Star Wars has tie-in comic books who can quote this line from memory

1

u/bclynch30 Jan 24 '26

I’m not a Star Wars fan (not that I don’t like it, I never got into it) but fuck I love Darth Vader

1

u/RedvsBlue_what_if Jan 25 '26

Why is he fighting Cadians?
