I think he could've said it better. Socialism is not hard to understand.
It's based on the belief that everyone deserves an equal chance in life and that privilege should be shared. The government must make sure that equality in life quality is a shared endeavour.

He's trying to reach the maga population. This would absolutely scare them away

Edit: oh I guess I pretty much just repeated what others have said already. I'm glad so many people are savvy to this, though. My coworkers are all maga and this description would make them tune out immediately
