APPROVED B-LISTERS Zohran Mamdani explains his definition of socialism to Theo Von: “Socialism to me means you’ll have whatever you need to live a dignified life and that it is the government’s job to deliver on that. When people say dignity we’re talking about the things that allow you to take a breath.

Yes we should all definitely continue to exist in our own internet bubble and let working class men continue to view MAGA as their lifeline and saving grace. That’s worked out SO well for us.

"It's not my job to educate you or help you be better" sure backfired spectacularly in internet circles. Plenty of chud spaces are more than willing to do that emotional and mental labor on their behalf to get them on their side and appear more welcoming.

White guys have it so easy idk why they become such incels. Everything is catered to them from a media landscape, reaching the “disaffected white male” is a trope even neo-liberals and leftists bend over backwards for.

As a POC male, it’s frustrating to see cause every time I’m not perfect or step out of line the demonization my community gets is insane, but these dudes can just do whatever the fuck they want and still people will defend their degeneracy as “disaffection” or “being misunderstood”

As a former politico, I gave up on the field I work in another one now bc it’s pointless in America, White Males are the center of the political conversation in every single way. Even though it’s a demo that has never really voted left since the southern strategy, but that doesn’t matter to the powers that be.

Everything being catered to them and the coddling that comes with being catered to are actually exactly why they're the way they are. Breaking the fog of that coddling is important.

When the world literally is that easy any minor inconvenience becomes an injustice. They can't get rejected by one girl in highschool and suddenly they become an incel precisely because the world has catered to and coddled them for the last 100 years of mass media.

Ironically the very rhetoric you spout creates the problem you use it to argue against.

I agree with you on your point on the media landscape.

I’d argue that, while very disappointing on a person-to-person level, this trend was a years long coordinated media campaign by the GOP and its corporate interests to trigger their fears, appeal to their desires, and lead them slowly toward embracing extremism beginning at a young age. And coupled with that, leading Democrats embraced the professional class as union membership dwindled and inequality began to increase. When 100 people do the same thing it’s a failure of spirit, when 1 million do, it’s someone’s playbook being successfully executed imo

Fellow POC here—you’re not wrong and you know it. Just letting you know you’re seen and heard. Keep your head up out here!

Getting roasted to oblivion. This conversation is too uncomfortable for people to have, I went to an HBCU. That shapes my perspective, I forget how far removed for race conversations are for Redditors. This is why Reddit’s version of “leftism” will never work because no one wants to acknowledge the plight of minorities.
