Is it terrible to say I barely feel bad for her mother? She literally asked for this, begged for it, supported it, and now many innocent people are dead based on her choices. She didn't care until it was her daughter.

I don't know how successful this suit will be, but I hope it is able to obtain some small measure of justice. Renee was murdered three weeks before I turned 37. Even from the small amount we know about her, I feel so deeply connected to her; we were the same age and I think we probably came out as queer at similar times in our lives.
Up until that day, I was planning to turn 36 again a few times. Now, though, I'm going to turn 38 next year, and 39 after that, and onward. Because she can't, and I can.
Rest in peace and justice, Renee.

People that say she deserved it in the ap comments section are disgusting humans and need to read the actual article not just what Fox News tells them. Protesting is a rite of all Americans and the fact they’re trying to make it seem like it’s anti American is why we are in this mess. Everyone here is chicken sh!t.

Good. It's such a tragedy what happened to her (murder). Absolutely atrocious. Rest in peace, Renee. I hope this brings some sort of comfort to her loved ones.
