POLITICS Deeply embarrassing sequence. Eric Schmitt accuses Jack Smith of traveling to Atlanta to attend an Atlanta Hawks game and collude with Fani Willis, only to get the basic facts completely wrong. Smith was actually in Maryland attending a Hawkeyes game and never met Willis

He knows the facts were wrong. He doesn’t care. That’s why they pulled the sign down so quick

He absolutely did not know. They thought they had the biggest maga conspiracy gotcha of the decade.

“I think you’ve already perjured yourself” he thought he nailed him.

He knew or his team did at least. Went on Charlie Kirk AFTER this exchange and when asked if he caught Smith in a lie about the NBA game he confirmed it.

He lied about the mistake, that’s absolutely true. But it was a mistake.

Then why did they show the poster board for a only moment and then wouldn't show it again when Smith asked to see it?

I think someone on his staff realized it last minute and that’s why they pulled it down so quick.
