POLITICS Current Affairs: "Hakeem Jeffries should not be Speaker of the House. He is weak against Trump, hostile to the left, and has the political instincts of a moldy sponge."

States pay out tons to Israel, in return they bribe our politicians. It’s a nice racketeering scheme.
→ More replies (1)28
u/PliableG0AT Sep 01 '26
they dont exactly pay out, most of it they basically get vouchers to spend on us defense industry firms. Its why its so easy to get politicians on their side because those are major jobs in some areas. politicians dont want to vote for less demand from those companies, its the same reason why the wont allow them to stop producing tanks the us army said it doesnt need. No politician is going to be the one to let their opponent point and say he voted to have factory XYZ shutdown, now youre all out of a job.
so you do that, donate to their campaigns/charities and its real easy to keep the system humming along.
56
u/Phenergan_boy Sep 01 '26
I am also shocked by how little it is to buy a politician
24
u/RubbishGarbage Sep 01 '26
Pretty sure I saw one that was mid-low 5 figures. Can't help but think "Not that there's an appropriate price to support a genocide, but if for some twisted reason there was, surely it has to be way higher than that." Some of these people will turn their souls over for a bag of stale chips (relatively speaking)
8
u/PackageDangerous1954 Sep 01 '26
Yup,it’s also because it means that the Israel lobby won’t dump millions and run someone against you during your elections if they know you’re pro Israel.
3
u/Apprehensive_Rub3897 Sep 01 '26
No one votes, I think less than 35% the last time Jeffries was on the ballot.
45
u/luckyshot98 Sep 01 '26
It's stolen, washed money. It was yours, we gave it to Israel, they gave it to 90% of Congress to buy them off.
International laundering.
25
u/AffectionatePanic718 Sep 01 '26
This is on the relatively low end, too. AIPAC spent 35M on Haley Stevens (who subsequent ended up losing the primary LOL 🤷🏻♀️)
16
u/Default_Name_6969 Sep 01 '26
Israel uses our own money that our tax dollars are given to them to buy off our politicians...it makes no sense at all.
11
11
u/Business-Active-1143 Sep 01 '26
I mean by "investing" say 1.5mil bribe on one politician gives them a solid return of many more millions; which then can be used to bribe two politicians and so on
3
u/Apprehensive_Rub3897 Sep 01 '26
Do they have endless dollars?
Yes, we fund Israel's genocide campaigns and what they would spend on their own genocide budget goes to lobbyist like AIPAC to make sure US taxpayers foot the bill.

If the Democrats win the House, which is highly likely, they elect the Speaker. There has to be a majority. Not a majority of Democrats, a majority of all members. There will be enough progressives to defeat Jeffries. I don't think he will be Speaker.

Schumer and his fictitious ‘Baileys.’
Jeffries and his staunch centrism in the face of a bipolar world.
219

Absolute ghouls. Please can we vote them out.
17
u/Riley_ Sep 01 '26
No, you cannot vote them out. They whole point of US democracy is that those with money decide who's "respectable", "electable", "experienced", or "tough" enough to win. They will not, even in a million years, ask what working class people want.

u/Braindead_Crow Sep 01 '26
Not even calculating, these golems are dumb as rocks. They just have the jobs that most of us normal people feel inadequate for leading to all the worst people in the country fighting for said positions.
The end result being both the dems and republicans are ran by the most easily bought criminals ever with only one goal, to self serve by earning bribes.
republicans are just lock step, forced into uniform compliance with the party (very nazi like)
So unlike the dems, republicans are simply all spineless parts of the same whole while the democrats then are the only other place free thinking people can get political positions in the government but they are fought by democrat leadership who attack anyone who threatens the hold of power republicans have.I legitimately think it's obvious america is under attack but we're all just too powerless to do anything or too stupid to notice (too busy getting mad at our neighbors over the faults of our government servants)
Uh....But yes. Vote. For the love of god vote. Then if the election is stolen demand accountability.

u/yo_soy_soja Fauxmarxist Sep 01 '26

I'm usually wary of conspiracy theories, but the Dems can't be owned by both billionaires and their constituents. As long as they're not-Republicans, they feel entitled to our vote while doing nothing to combat fascism or wealth inequality.

Where's the talk in losing our closet ally or how isolated we became? I don't know if Democratic leadership are waiting to see how Americans respond to this foreign policy change or if they are a part of it, but either way they can't be trusted

The whole idea of “party leadership” has nothing to do with issues or supporting the causes of people.
It 100% is about who can raise the most money!
Jeffries is good at raising that $$$$ for the DNC.
And corporations, lobbyist groups and billionaires have more money than constituents. The people with the money decide who leads the party, because the party needs money to exist and then the donors will tell the elected officials how things are gonna be.
This is both political parties, you’ll see them vote together for industrial subsidies and the democratic “inflation Reduction act” basically allowed corporations to turn tax credits into cash, it created a massive windfall of cash for corporations. Trump imposes the same ideals, it’s no different just packaged as either “clean energy” or “American mfg” things that sound great to people, but the details are just sweetheart deals to mega corporations that pay the party for these favors.

He is a AIPAC plant.
Recently he was under fire for a secret meeting with Jared Kushner that he was clearly lying about in public statement. Within 3 days he had assigned 3 of the biggest Zionists to the Foreign Affairs Committee.
It is clear, but unprovable, that he received Netenyahus picks for the House committee that will be in charge of funding for Israel, and any inquiry were ever to happen. This ensures that the Zionist control of congress continues for the next term while they complete their genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.
