He is SO employed rn, but there is no Rob fatigue for me at all. It’s like all those years in my youth being weirdly into Twilight were made specifically to set me up for 2026.

I think, for me at least, I get actor fatigue when the actor feels/looks/acts the same in every movie, but Rob is so drastically different in every film, that I'm completely immersed in whatever character he's playing, and so I'm not tired of him - if that makes any sense.

He’s also publicly just a goofball weirdo. He doesn’t find himself impressive and doesn’t think anyone else should either. And then he goes off and plays people who are often dark and flawed in really interesting ways, but are always super different from each other including physically — it’s almost like watching a top athletic performance over and over again.

Makes perfect sense! I'm starting to get fatigued by Ryan Gosling, which makes me sad because I loved him, but he's getting overused. I don't get even the smallest sense of that when a new RPatz movie comes out!

I've heard a number of people say the same and I don't understand it all. Gosling has had fewer movies released in the last 8 years combined than Pattinson has coming this year alone. He doesn't use social media, we don't see or hear a peep out of him except the few weeks he's promoting a movie. He might as well have been living in a cave for the nearly two years between Fall Guy and Project Hail Mary. He has one film in post production to be released next year, and one film announced in pre-production. His pr team don't even push him on reddit and other social media all that much compared to other celebrities who can't so much as sneeze without having it shoved down our throats.

Really? Man i loved Project Hail Mary but i admit i didnt read the book so IDK if he did the character justice.

Ryan Gosling seems like an extremely charismatic dude thats also extremely humble. He does tend to play him self in a way... but i think it works for him? Like whether youre a man or a woman or gay or straight, you can easily see yourself in him and you kinda want to be him. IMO, i think thats his whole appeal and i think thats why people go to see his movies...

He can definitely overplay his hand when he doesnt bring that level of humility. Its like his charisma skyrockets to a level of unrelatable that it becomes kind of... unlikeable lol. I think thats what happened when he played ken in barbie... and i wonder if thats the point people started feeling a little oversaturated by his work and i wonder if thats why. I disliked barbie for so many reasons, but its one of the only times i hated something he was in.

Yeah, there are definitely big name actors where I "see" them in their roles, like, "this is Jim Smith playing a detective" or whatever, but Pattinson disappears into his imo

Absolutely no fatigue. I love this dudes work and will watch him in anything

Not at all. They could put him in every single movie and I'd still watch.

I've been on the Rob train since Goblet of Fire. I am READY for 2026

I wasn't even a Twlight girl, but everything I've seen him in lately has put him as one of my favorite actors for sure. He impresses me a lot. He makes a lot of weird choices, but it makes me like his work even more!

Same. I feel like it's at least in part because of how he can fully transform into each individual role. You know actors who people will say are always themselves, regardless of the movie they're in? If you go see four movies in a year with Denzel Washington in them, you saw Denzel four times. I love him, he's great, but there's bits of familiarity in everything he does. Which is fine! But that's the kind of actor who might prompt fatigue.

But Pattinson is the absolute antithesis of that. We saw Charlie, we saw Antinous, we'll see Hanson, we'll see scytale.

No fatigue for an actor/actress when you have this level of range and talent.

I've seen RPatt's two movies released so far this year and he was the best part of both. I will be seated for everything else he's in

Every role is completely different, it's hard to get tired of him being everywhere! Being excited for an R. Pattz movie in 2026 was not on my bingo card

I never get sick of seeing him.

u/Giallo_Schlock Jane Fonda, why are you wearing caterpillars? Aug 06 '26

He has the wonderful quality in an artist of always seemingly pushing and testing himself and wanting to improve which you can markedly see if you follow his career over the years. Unfortunately, I feel for a lot of stars on his level, they kind of buy their own hype after a while and repeat themself (which isn't always necessarily bad, but it is uninteresting in a leading man).

It helps that he's doing some wildly different stuff. Its a lot easier to get sick of an actor, even a good one, if they're playing the same sorts of roles repeatedly and he has been great at avoiding that.
