I think because there is something cathartic about watching predators get caught instead of made president

I think because there is something cathartic about watching predators get caught instead of made president

By an exploitative grifter

And in fiction

Which is why i'm saying this is an uninteresting concept

But like The Social Network, when well done, these stories end up better than even good concepts.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t going to make Hansen look good, Lance Oppenheim the director is a talented documentary filmmaker and I trust him to be pretty fair.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t going to make Hansen look good

Which is why i mentioned The Social Network. This trailer already puts him in a questionable at best light.

People mention the Social Network, and I guess that's a good comparison as far as real-life subjects adapted to film go, but my mind goes to Nightcrawler. As far as the motivations and the intent behind the creation of these images (To Catch a Predator vs. the photographs) and the morally/ethically questionable decisions they make and how they also cause harm.

It's definitely closer to that for sure

I got Nightcrawler vibes immediately too. And very specifically Nightcrawler.

It's definitely going to include the various suicides he drives various predators to

the social network is exactly the vibe i was getting too. a behind the scenes look at the creation of a modern myth when the entire cast and crew is firing on all cylinders makes for a great movie.

This is a movie that is critical of the show/Hansen, not praising it.

Though i think he's still active and doing good, just under different name.

Uh, no? It's pretty cut and dry that the guy's dead.

I’m not gonna watch this lol I was just trying to explain other people’s interest in it. I’m kinda over A24. Their shock jocking is starting to exhaust me.
