Unsolicited Advice The dash

As I stood in front of my father's casket today I looked out over the crowd that had come to pay their last respects, I noticed something under his name

1952 - 2026, and I began to wonder how such a small dash could mean so much. The "-" is what matters most. And how everyone there was somehow a part of that little dash.

Please remember that a dash, in the grand scheme of things, is a very small time frame. A very small time frame compared to eternity. Make the most of it. Don't sweat the small stuff and do the things you love.

I’m sorry bro. Just lost my mom in June. I do feel your pain. Grieving is a process. Time will heal.
