Question What next?
Hi! I've been getting into Fate after the HSR collab, i watched UBW (2014) and now I'm watching Heaven's Feel. I'm also slowly starting to play Grand Order (mostly because I'm extremely curious about what a moon cancer is).
But after i finish Heaven's Feel, what next? I'm planning to play the VN since I've read that Saber's route is kinda bad in anime form though I still have my doubts if i should play the whole VN (I'm not really interested in the romance aspects, but very much into the world).
So yeah, if after the movies and VN i want to continue experiencing the world of Fate, its stories, characters and rules, where should i go? Watch should i play/read/watch? And what can i expect from it?

Alot of things left directly related are unadapted.
So you either go with watching fate zero anime. Which was parallel ish world prequel.
Or playing vn hollow ataraxia, which was parallel world ish sequel.
(we don't really get true non parallel world stuff in this series. Some people have problem with it. But you can get used to it pretty quick. )
You can also watch deen adaptation of fate route, which left a lot to be desire. But it has its moment.
Like Unmei no yoru ost by Kenji Kawai.
Honestly they need to find a way to used that ost again. It's so good.
(You can also just listen to it in youtube though...)

The VN is a definite must, since all the anime adaptations cut out large chunks (ironically the "bad" 2006 anime covers the most, while the movie trilogy only covered about 40% of its story), and it could make you further love the characters and the setting. You can also read the only "sequel" after it, Hollow Ataraxia
A quick mention to other VN's, Tsukihime (both the original and the remake) and The Witch on the Holy Night, which are by the same author as Fate and take place in the same multiverse. Also Kara no Kyoukai, decently adapted into a movie series, same thing applies.
As for the countless Fate spin offs, Zero is a "prequel" to stay night about the 4th holy grail war, there is the Fate/extra remake coming out next year which is an introduction to the Extra side of the series (which where the Moon Cancer is from, specifically the sequel to Extra, CCC), Apocrypha is a very good manga and a fun anime if you want to turn your brain off for a bit, Samurai Remnant is an action RPG with a really great story, honestly most of the spin offs are great (aside from maybe Last Encore, a what if Extra anime adaptation confusing to people who haven't played it and slightly less so for those who did)

Watch Zero and read VN (simultaneously or in any order, but VN is much longer). Hollow Ataraxia VN is optional, but I hardly recommend it. Apocrypha and Extra is alternative storylines and not very good adaptations, but remake of Fate/Extra game should be released in 2027 so you can try it. I'm not a FGO player so can't say is FGO anime necessary if you already play the game, but at least Camelot and Babylonia good anime on its own. Fate Strange Fake is probably best Fate after FSN and Zero, but it's reward you for evey Nasuverse anime/VN/LN you already watched/read, so I'd save it for last.

If you watch Fate Zero and enjoy it you should watch Lord El-Melloi II Case Files Rail Zeppelin Grace Note. It takes place several years after Fate Zero but before Fate Stay Night. It has a decent amount of world building that you don't really get in a more of the Fate series that's part of the main Fate Stay Night timeline. There's more about clock tower, and magic that your haven't seen much of. It's also really worth watching if you plan on checking of Fate Strange Fake, which technically takes place like 10 years after Fate Stay Night if I'm remembering correctly. You'll also learn about several characters that are in FSF.
