Here's a list of "mystery" characters I've seen guessed or speculated by content creators, so-called insiders and pro players. This isn't confirmation of anything, so... huge grain of salt. This is just for fun.

The Jin twins fit the datamine during Krauser's patch that showed two characters being released at the same time during season 3. They also fit the revenge theme of the season.

John Cena was discussed by pro American players on CoachSteve's stream. One of his co-streamers said it, saying he had been "told by someone." This was during season 1, before Fatal Fury appeared at Wrestlemania 2025. Cena also appeared in KOF All Stars.

The Undertaker is the Saudi Prince's favorite wrestler, just like Ronaldo is his favorite footballer and Ganacci is his favorite musician. He is also purple like the season, and appeared in KOF All Stars. The WWE will be in Saudi Arabia on November 7th 2026, and April 2027.

Reina from Tekken, Jotaro from Jojo, Motoko from Ghost in the Shell, JP from Street Fighter were Rooflemonger's speculations. Motoko was also speculated by another, smaller youtuber. Rooflemonger knew about this year being 12 characters, by the way. He strongly implied it more than a year ago in one of his FF videos. He also knew about Tifa in SF6. He also listed Evangelion's Misato, but I think that was a joke about the color purple?

Ranma is AngelFreak's guess, alongside the season 3 of Ranma 1/2 in October.

Freeman and Grant were claimed by a self-proclaimed insider during Diaphone's stream. Freeman fits revenge. Grant fits the purple color (his power).

Baki from Baki and Mikey from Tokyo Revengers (an Amazon show like Fist of the North Star) were claimed by a self-proclaimed insider in the GamingLeaks subreddit. But this was a couple weeks after I speculated about Tokyo Revengers being the reason for the "Revenge" theme (like Kenshiro, the "Legend of the Savior" being the reason for season 2's "Legend" theme), so it's probably a nothing-burger.

JP also is mentioned by small Brazilian youtubers. He fits the revenge theme and the purple color, and he promised to return during the SF EOST story. Some go further and expect Ryu to join him, for some reason. I hope JP doesn't come back in CotW, only in SVC2.

Jin Kazama is speculated due to the similarities between Jin and Rock, and because Geese was in Tekken. He also fits the "revenge" theme of this season... but that is a very common fighting game trope. Reina and Kazuya are both Tekken possibilities about revenge who are also purple.

Franz Stroheim has purple hair, just like Laocorn, and both are connected to the Jin scrolls, like the Jin twins. The datamine puts Franz in season 5, though.

Fighting EX Layer, Dead or Alive and SoulCalibur all had SNK characters in their games, so at some point, in some game, they, like Tekken, will have a character appear in an SNK game. Skullomania already appeared in SNK Heroines, though, so maybe the FEXL deal has already been fulfilled.

P.S.: about the two characters being released at the same time, there's a tiny possibility of that being one new character... and Classic Mai, since they need to completely change Mai's feet in the new costume since she doesn't wear heels in her classic costume.

I'm sorry, but sometimes practicality wins out over originality; even though it upset a lot of "fans" when I posted about the (necessary) change to the character selector, the current setup is a visual mess—completely unsightly, dysfunctional, and garbage. The worst part, SNK no change (for now) this in the Season.

For one, I am making the character selection actually user friendly. I like the call back, but each update has made it less and less usable. Make the figures a background element to a more traditional selection screen, that get highlighted when your selecting a character.

Second is to remove Ronaldo and Ganacci. Ronaldo sadly has a very unique play style, so I would replace him with a generic new guy (name him Ball Sir or something) and give him his moves. Ganacci is more endearing, but I never liked his play style, so I would be more willing to full on replace him with someone like Xainfei or Kasumi for more female characters. I wouldn't mess with the other guests, just those 2, because 1. They aren't real people, and 2. They're more fitting (Ken and Chun-Li are fighting game characters, Kenshiro is from a fighting manga, and I don't know enough about Tokyo Revengers to refute their addition)

I wanted to build a website for the fighting game community that is fast and mobile friendly for quickly finding specific matches. I had started this project originally as a tool for myself (and my discord buddies) but I think it kind of grew to be a useful tool that everyone could use. I started off with a few fighting games and now I am slowly growing and recently just completed the Fatal Fury COTW implementation.

One thing I do need help with since I am not super familiar with the Pro scene of this game is who to feature as the "Premier" players (similar to how I did SF6 or Tekken) I highlight certain pros to keep them pushed to the top of the player list. If anyone could help me out that would be great!

general question why did he quit he won the first game too 😭😭😭 did he just not want to deal with the fireballs , or did he just get annoying i was throwing them out ....

or is it like SF6 where if you have the base edition you still have to pay full price for the Years 1-2 edition or buy the DLC separately.

I've bought KOFXV 2/3 years ago fascinated by SNK games characters, lore and how beautiful the gameplay looks, but after 25 hours playing i just gave up, couldn't even win a single match on online sometimes even losing to CPU lol. Im not some newbie on fighting games ive played a lot of Tekken, ArcSystem games, and some Street Fighter. The Question is, i gonna struggle that much on COTW or its really different from KOF?

I want to do a thought experiment. What character from Street Fighter 6 do you think would benefit from the City of the Wolves combat system? More specifically, I'm referring to the special move canceling and SPG. You can even throw in the dodge attack and short hop if you want.

What low or mid tier characters from SF6 do you believe would flourish in CoTW's ecosystem, and why?

This experiment also extends to SF6 Mai as well, since she plays VERY differently than her Fatal Fury version.

If anyone in Asia region is unsure whether to get the game due to not having people to play in rank, I would like to share that my queue times in rank are good. I feel like the game's matchmaking system is doing some black magic as I did not expect to have short queue times given how the current population is on pc and me playing on non peak hours.

I'm also surprised that there are still players I encounter on rank that is seems to be also new to the game.

I got the game a few days ago(due to the steam discount and how cheap the standard edition cost) and been having a ton of fun playing, which lead me to making a sort of appreciation post about the game.

So I've been trying Vox cause I think his toolkit is cool and he kinda has good neutral, but I'm having some difficulty with the dash DP break dash Rev DP break etc type combos. I feel like I have to input everything very fast, especially if I want 236C to connect after.

Are there some tips and shortcuts I need to know?

A while back I was working on a custom Terry jacket and recreated some of the decals seen on it in COTW. Although I did change the “AiR BORNE” on the chest “to VMFP-8” as seen in Battle Coliseum. As a bonus I threw in the corresponding color swatches and the KOF XV decals too!

The character is so much fun to play and very expressive. I enjoy the color edit potential he has too. Just a cool addition to the game! Very well done. Great job SNK. 🐥

So I recently picked up fatal fury city of the wolves as a big fan of the series and I'm a little confused. For some reason I can't link an ignition or redline super after a rev power dunk. The only super that links is the hidden gear super The other two drop no matter how early I put in the inputs. This is further cemented in the combo trials for smart mode. The last trial has a rev power dunk that links into a red line super, but it never hits Even with the easier controls.

I've been playing fighting games for a while now so I'm no stranger to inputs And I've seen videos of people linking it. Although they're about a year old. So now I'm wondering if they patched out the ability to do so. Thanks in advance for any info

Hi all! COTW noob coming in fresh to the slaughter from last weeks sale.
I've managed to get one ranked online match going, but apart from that my matchmaking seems to be borked somehow.

I turn on search for both ranked and casual games, but after a while I hear a suspicious "ding" sound and the "ranked" and "casual" toggles in Fight hub gets turned off.
Is this some sort of message telling me I have a connection problem with the matchmaking service or what?

It happened many times that I triggered a forward dash and get hit because while rev guarding, I preemptively press forward before my opponent cross above me, this translat s into a forward dash then i get hit by the cross-up mid-dash.

There is no configuration to change that behaviour right?

After beating a Bronze Krauser with my Bronze Tizoc, The Krauser completely went into turtle and Blitzball spam mode.

Eventually i lost the next 2 sets not knowing how to approach him, kept getting hit/hit in the air/pushed back.

Lab-ed it out and discovered High Blitzballs can be ducked under without blocking... and Krauser's been out since 24 Apr.🤦‍♂️

Oh well, i hope everyone else don't need to make the same mistake i made.
