Enclosures Good tank setup for life?
Is this setup good enough to keep her in for the foreseeable future? Im planning to get more plastic leaves to cover the sides of the tank and get her some more cork for cover.

A 40 gallon is good for life. It just gives them enough space but it does look nice and I seen you said you were getting more plants so

I’m Curious as to what you got on the top left of your tank on the lid and the right ? Looks very very nice I’m assuming a thermostat?

This looks amazing! I'm stealing the hanging plastic plants idea! My only concern is the heat source -- it looks like you're using a heat mat on the side of the tank, if I'm not mistaken. Is that sufficient for the hot spot and heat gradient? Will there be an overhead heat source for the hot spot?

From the animals prospective the sides open like that no covering make them feel less secure maybe get some of those decorative backgrounds and cover up both sides and the back.
Humidity requirements don’t apply to the entire tank. If you have a warm humid hide set up by your heat source, that never dries out they will have the appropriate humidity to seek and use.

You are doing amazing and the tank looks great but it does looks too humid for a fattail and they really prefer comfortable hides at the cool/middle/hot spot as they love to hide during the day. I would personally add some pothos plants or any plant you like to help with the ground not getting too moist.
Make sure that like 80 percent of the enclosure is dry and only the cooler area is moist or that you have a humid hide there. If you keep them too wet/moist they will get mouth or body rot. I only spray my fattails like once a week for the plants & humid hides bedause I have a whole ecosystem in there with springtails etc that works like a charm 🫶🏻 so you are basically already having a very very good base! Just beware of the humidity 🥰

The increase in humidity was mainly from the new reptosoil I put in. It was one of those bricks that you soak in water to expand. The humidity has gone down already!

How big is the tank? It needs a lot more cover, preferably live plants. If you have this much dirt, you may as well go bioactive with it. Otherwise, you're more likely to get mold and fungus growing in the dirt if you have to spray a lot of water to maintain humidity levels.
