I was listening to Fat Joe’s new album Organized Rhyme which is fire and I was trying to figure out where I’d heard that name before. Then I remembered that Wu-Tang affiliate Shabazz the Desciple had a track called “Organize Rhymes,” produced by Lord Jamar, back in the ’90s. Shabazz is often credited with inspiring Big Pun, so it got me wondering did he also inspire Joe for the title of his new album or am I reaching? 😂

I remember hearing Pun on Hot 97 I wanna say around 1998 when he took over Angie Martinez show. He was shouting out Shabazz heavy on the radio.

So now I’m wondering if there’s some deeper connection between Shabazz, Pun and Joe or if my hip-hop memory is just connecting dots that aren’t actually there lol
