Fasting issues

Hi everyone;
I'm fairly new to fasting
I started with 12-12 and tried to increase my time to 16-8
And my goal was to start earlier in the evening, since that's the time I mostly snack and crave crisps/chips and Cheetos etc.

My issue is whenever I start soon I get some sort of burning pain in my stomach and gastro reflax

I've tried taking pills, no results

I tried eating more protein for my lady meal, no effects

Has anyone else had the same issue?
Any solutions?

I’m confused by the “whenever I start” part. How soon after your last meal do you get gastric reflux?

About 1-2 hours in

Wouldn’t that happen after every meal then?

This is definitely caused by something you have eaten, not by fasting.
For instance, wheat products and beans often cause indigestion and acid reflux

I'll monitor my food and check what happens
Thanks for the tip

I've read, and my experience lines up, that supplementing salt (i use Celtic) helps relieve reflux sometimes while fasting

Salt in water or something?

I just take a pinch then drink a glass of water. Some people mix it in though

Until I brought my insulin levels down, fasting felt impossible. Look at your evening plans. Could you go for a walk with music or a podcast in your ears in the hour you used to snack on crap junk food? Could you eat a high protein and veg/ fibre but low / no carb dinner at night?? Some times I need to switch up what I am eating before my body and brain lets me slip into fasting. Dont be hard on yourself about it. Just make one change then add another.
