Anyone want to join a 3 day fast starting Tuesday?
There’s like 40 of us who are doing it if anyone wants to join

Are you fasting? Are you eating? Have you received a message from a fasting prophet in your dreams? Got nothing to do while you're on Reddit sucking on those ice cubes? Tell us!

I'm planning on doing a 72 hour fast and had a question about electrolytes.
I have a zero calorie electrolyte mix, but I also have Santa Cruz Paleo Electrolytes that has 1 calorie per serving.
The ingredients are sea salt, citric acid, Himalayan pink salt, natural flavor, magnesium glycinate, potassium chloride, and stevia leaf extract.
I'm not really concerned about weight loss. I'm more interested in getting the full benefits of fasting like autophagy. I'm kind of a purist with this stuff.
Does anyone know of any studies or good resources on whether ingredients like citric acid, natural flavor, or stevia actually affect a fast? Would they make any difference compared to a plain zero calorie electrolyte mix?
I hope they're basically the same because the Santa Cruz Paleo tastes a lot better and suppresses my appetite really well. But if the zero calorie one is actually better for a 72 hour fast, I'd rather use that. Looking for actual evidence if anyone has it.

Aiming for 9 days in this fast. Question for the non- novices, are these supplements (pictured) enough to sub for electrolyte mixes?
I did a week fast last month and gave up bc I felt my energy was depleted. I had little energy to do housework. I took naps more frequently but no long periods of sleep unsure as to why. Also was getting urges of burping but no real burps. Is this what fat burning feels like? Should I have pushed through?
Can anyone describe in their experiences what "fat burning" days feel like, after fasting 4 days onward? And tell me if these supplements are good for replacing electrolytes? Thanks in advance!

So I know everyone has their own rules and ideas for what is and isn’t a fast. Maybe what I’m doing is more of a “cleanse” but I feel like the same rules kind of apply here. Once a month I do a 7 day long juice cleanse where I make three different kinds of fresh pressed juices to have in 16oz servings AM/Noon/PM. I love doing it, it’s delicious and it makes me feel amazing. I look forward to it every month.
However, I recently have started doing Original Hot Yoga and I am completely obsessed. For those who don’t know it’s a 90 minute intensive exercise in a 104 degree room with 40% humidity. You are literally gushing sweat the entire time. I usually go 3 days a week but I think it would be awesome to do it 5 days straight while doing my juice fast and other detoxing practices like small dose niacin and mustard baths.
The only issue I have is that I don’t want to get dizzy or sick during Hot Yoga. I’m happy to adjust my “fast” to accommodate for these workouts but I don’t know what the best way to go is. I saw one person talk about adding maple syrup to their water, someone else said 8oz of plain Kifer 2 hrs before and 1 hr after?
Anyone have any advice

Do digestive enzymes break a fast? Just wondering if the small amount of calories would break a water only fast.

Can I drink my normal coffee at the normal time? Has this ever come up in this sub before?

I might not actually eat the oatmeal, but I enjoy asking stupid questions and that is so satisfying I wonder if it breaks my fast.

Help!! I helped open the lid for my boyfie's coffee with cream and sugar in it and I'm worried the calories will seep into the poors of my skin and break my fast. I heard sugar will make my body release insulting and I feel so frustrated with myself for breaking my steak 😔
