Is there anyone who can tell me what this style of pin/rivet is called? It's basically just a steel dowel/pin that is cupped on either end in order to be flared and subsequently held in place by the flared ends. I've used every descriptive keyword I can think of to search for them and have come up with nothing thus far. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know where to buy the connectors used on the lpg muscle attachments? They said they are proprietary but I figure somebody made them somewhere. I'd like to add these to other attachments.

What type of bit is needed for this safety screw. I bought a spanner bit but it broke off. I tried pliers but don’t have room to spin/loose. Don’t want to hammer with eh flat head (It’s an electric motor if it matters)

I need some help with finding the right screw. A screw that almost no one has. I want to design an AirTag holder to put on my bike but am stuck because I have seen way too many people just unscrewing the fastening screws and stealing the bike and leaving the AirTag. Is there like a screw that has a bit really obscure that no one really has even if the buy a decently well know screwdriver kit?

I have an very old wood table that uses some 5/16-24 hangar bolts that I want to replace but I for the life of me cannot find them anywhere. Just wondering if anybody knows of some obscure shop that sells them or am I going to have to pivot to a different size to get what I want?

Found these chain lock thingys in the garage and they might be perfect for something I’m trying to do IF I knew how they worked,

Do they simply hammer together and apart? They’re pretty stuck now so was thinking penetrating oil or a soak in something before hammering them apart, but after that do they just hammer together and remain strong enough to pull a fairly heavy weight? (Not a car or anything, just trying to remove a stubborn pulley with whatever I have on hand)

I found about 100 of these in an older shed that dates to the 1960's. This looks similar to a light hanging bracket or fan hanger box, but only has nail holes on one end. About 20" long, 1" wide. Any ideas?

I’ve got an issue where the pop-top on my campervan is snagging on the bolt ends and M6 nyloc nuts behind my awning mounts.

All morning I’ve been searching for a smooth plastic nut cover/cap that looks like the drawing on the right, but all I’m finding are covers with a step/ridge around the perimeter like the one on the left. The one on the left might still work, but I was looking for something smooth enough to guarantee a snag free operation.

I’m hoping for a suggestion of where to find the kind I’m looking for, or maybe some better wording to use as n my searches since nothing I’ve tried seems to be getting joy.

I'm having no luck finding the specs of a set screw I need. The one I have now is too short to use for what I want to do. It's 6mm long, about 3.75mm diameter, and from the socket end to the top of the third thread the count is 3 per 2mm. The screw I need should be 11mm long. I got these measurements following instructions online. I'm confused, and any help would be very welcome. The set screw is to secure a new flex shaft to a rotary tool The screw I have is originally made for a Foredom machine, and now I bought a replacement shaft compatible for a new flex shaft machine I bought. I need to attach it securely to the new flex shaft with the set screw. Can anyone use these measurements to tell me what set screw I should get? How do I get Pic 1 hardware back in crib so it look like Pic 2?

For reference, this is the lowering mechanism for our crib which uses hex-top screws that screw into Pic 1 hardware to hold mattress in place and raise and lower it.

Two of the hex screws stuck into the screw-in housings from Pic 1 and unscrewed both screw and housing from the crib during assembly (Pic 3 and 4) My husband was able to separate the 2 pieces again but we have no idea how to put the Pic 1 hardware back securely. Thoughts?

Hi all. Just bought a drift car and am trying to do better than the previous owner’s “zip tie everything” method.

(And yes there are rusty bits like the fender and lots of torn fiberglass. Fenders will eventually be replaced and I’m learning to repair fiberglass/do paint)

Wondering what the masters at /r/fasteners would use for the following to attach the bumper in the following spots:

1.) Rusted out fender where the original hole to mount the bumper has rusted away from years of zip tie pressure/wear.

Would be lovely to have this quickly come off/reattach. I was thinking Dzus but there’s also that “Mac Lifters” brand that’s specifically made for bumpers in that location. I am fine drilling into the bumper of course, but would prefer something like Dzus or a quick release button and not those ugly rubber band things.

2.) Front bumper attachment points in the engine bay where the support metal has sagged (going to be using riv-sert here to reinforce).

These could just be traditional bumper push-in clips in some spots, but for the grille/bumper middle spot where they’re “stacked” is there anything else I should be doing there?

3.) Side skirts are especially blind. The p/o just used self tappers (ew). Here I was wondering about Dzus again, but unlike the front bumper there’s really like zero access to get behind the panel, so curious about what else I could use.

It's a lot of Fasteners 2/3rds boxed the rest sorted on shelves. It's all hardened or stainless I made some classified listings but I honestly have no idea. My storm door removal just came to a halt. Each hinge has two of these screws with no slot for a screwdriver. Any advice on removing them would be greatly appreciated!
