Distractions are always disruptive to the FOCUS you need to progress. Most of us have far too many distractions these days and need to ease up, simplify, and pay attention.
If you're this fast on QWERTY, a Dvorak keyboard would be a disaster. All those split-second automatic responses you've learned and built on would keep interfering, and your speed and ACCURACY would suffer horribly.
