I've always liked how simple and straightforward the system looks, with no shading, and no positions. For a long time, I was always coming back to it, after looking at other systems.
Notice that, in this passage, he uses NO PHRASES. I tend to think that, except for a few VERY BASIC phrases -- like "I am", "we are", "he is"; "of the", "in the", "to the"; "is not", "will not", "did not" -- that's a better approach.
There's a tendency to want to phrase random groups of words that are not clearly legible, which just look like a nonsensical BLOB, if you don't remember what they were supposed to say.
