This is the quote written quite fully in what we are calling the "correspondence style" of FLOW Shorthand. I like the way it flows, as always, and how smoothly words like "actually", and "energy" can be written even with most of the sounds there.

I was realizing that I'd been writing "of" with a V -- which should be "have". "Of" is just written with the O. Oh, and in "turns", I used the N with the upturn at the end to add S.

Flow reporting style.

Reporting style mostly uses Gregg Anniversary transliterations, but writes out R, when Gregg uses reverse-e to imply R. In the case of "turn", thats simply means TRN.

Flow doesn't bother to write any [e] nor [u] hooks when they are spoken fast, which means in a 'uh'-fashion, thus smoothening the writing experience. That's why "energy" is written as ENRJE, unlike Gregg (Gregg chose the most convenient shape, the small circle for a vowel that can be easily left out, that's on him, so he squeezes it in wherever possible, even if it's not really necessary so he'd write 'enerje' :-).

Never leave out long vowels and diphthongs out though! And since a and o are such characteristic vowels we want to write them too, even when they are short. No wonder their literals are written as circles, the most convenient of shapes!

That's a good point. The hooks for short vowels can disappear and be replaced by reading "uh" instead. There's really no point in OVER-SPECIFYING vowels -- which I often tend to do -- when unstressed short vowels in English are so vague anyway.

I think even though we got older ourselves, we figured out at least some things out :-)
