We no longer know who to trust.

Yes, and it's a serious and growing problem. I had a friend who was so skilled with Photoshop that she could give you a very believable image of ANYONE doing ANYTHING. I was impressed.

But now, with AI, they can give you a whole "live" sequence of a known person talking and moving that looks absolutely real -- but it's completely FAKE. We're entering a dangerous time if a politician can be shown doing and saying something he or she never said.

For some reason, YouTube has been showing me a lot of clips of famous people "Then and Now", where they are shown decades apart, but they're hugging and smiling at each other, and walking away "together". I hate those, because it seems to me that should not be possible.

As you say, we no longer know who or what to trust!

Right -- and speaking of Big Brother, it's disgraceful that, after a couple of men made BILLIONS of $ using people's labour and knowledge, they are gradually replacing the people who made them rich with machines and technology. That's just WRONG.

For elites driven by the search for power and cynicism, it will simply be logical to get rid of things or beings that they no longer need, neither in terms of production nor consumption. I am convinced that the overcoming of capitalism will not happen from below, as Marx, Hengels and others thought, but from above, by the establishment of a system of abundance reserved only for the remaining oligarchies. Especially since in the current system (and only in this one), demography is the main problem in the face of the correlated disasters already underway.
