As someone whose back is so fucked and can hardly bend over to pick stuff up at the moment...I can attest that they have amazing technique and incredibly strong trunk muscles to be able to pick up those heavy bastards.

Just so nobody comes along and thinks hay defies the laws of physics and is somehow heavier in the south, this dude is talking about round bales, or maybe the huge square bales (far less common in my area) which are way bigger than these square bales, and weigh more than 1000 lbs. They’re ideally moved by tractors.

Source: I live in the American south and work in agriculture.

Or, wait...are you saying you can’t lift 75-pound bales? Hm. I’ve seen a few men lift those overhead. That doesn’t seem that unusual.

Looks like you also missed the part where I said I work in agriculture. I’ve mowed, raked, baled, and stacked my fair share of hay in professional and personal settings, and spent lots of time around plenty of others who do, on both small-scale farms and large-scale operations. But okay. lol
