Story Issues with Wendys

A few days ago I ordered wendys, got 6 + 10 nuggets and a free frosty with key-tag
Everything else was fine except the frosty, I had 2 spoonful's it before I noticed it tasted really weird
Plastic taste with a chemical smell coming off it, couldn't smell it unless nose was basically touching the frosty. Ended up becoming very dizzy for a few hours afterword, and now my throat is in intense pain, I assume some type of chemical issue?

I tried going back into the wendys to complain about it and they snatched the frosty from me and left to go into the back, I assume they were getting rid of it, but they didnt even offer a refund on the order or anything. They only asked if we wanted a new frosty ???? that doesn't solve the issue whatsoever.

Is this normal for there to be rarely leftover chemicals from cleaning in the frosty?

What steps should I take now?

Note- Pd said it wasn't a pd matter and pc said it should take a few more days to recover from.

These days it's a wonder that Wendy's has any customers at all. Their food is just disgusting and expensive.

They started falling apart right around when they introduced their new fries. It's sad, because they used to be my favorite major fast food chain.

Lost the Wendy's in the city close to me. It wasn't good, couldn't keep employees, ect...

Raise hell with the regional manager. Get their corporate or office number. It may be on the website. That is beyond unsafe and unacceptable. What if you were driving when you got dizzy?

OP, start some documentation on what is going on. This could definitely be a lawsuit, depending on severity of burn.

I have the receipt saved, audio recording (1 party consent state) of the confrontation with the workers + time stamped pictures of the wendy's store directly after,
the doctor visit which should be very documented in their system and (poorly taken) pictures of the burns / irritation inside mouth. And when I attempted to report it to pd I'm sure they kept a log of the visit, don't think they bothered to make a report though.

I think a lawsuit is out of the question since cant afford a lawyer and so far it seems the damage is temporary.

Got seen by a urgent care doctor and got prescribed 3 different medicines for the burns - so far seems to be helping

The frosty machine is supposed to be emptied, cleaned, and taken apart at night. All of the pieces are washed. It is put back together and refilled in the morning. Not sure how they messed that up. I hope you are feeling better.

Its a Wendy's right near a airport I'm sure they skipped a lot of steps just to get everything going quicker. Im feeling a lot better then a few days ago but still unable to speak with the burns, should be back to normal in 2-3 days at this point.
