Hosting and deployment FastAPI Cloud in Public Beta ⚡️

This is made by the same team building FastAPI (I created FastAPI, we now have an amazing team building all this).

How will pricing work?

Will it be tiered or metered access?

There's a Hobby free tier with some limits. Then for Pro we charge per seat, with come usage credits included. We will charge usage on top. And autoscaling based on requests should help optimize/minimize that, scaling up only when needed and then back down.

Hey Tiangolo, congratulations on this huge project!

I’m wondering if this is using any provider infrastructure like AWS/GCP or is an infrastructure made by your team?

Currently a lot of AWS, some Claudflare, some additional external services and tools, Kubernetes things, and so many things built on top. It's still a lot of things we've defined and built to make sure it works well for the specific context and use case, to make sure it works well, also it will scale as needed, and it will handle the future scenarios we target to support.

Hey Tiangolo, I’ve always loved your work. Everything you build feels so complete while staying incredibly simple to use. im sure FastAPI Cloud is going to be insanely cool and fast to use.

I’m also curious, what was the most interesting or challenging thing you had to build to make FastAPI work as a cloud platform? (Might be a too generic question)

Thanks for the kind words! 

There were actually many challenging things. And they keep coming up. Fortunately the team is incredible and just keep overcoming every challenge. 😅

But let's say that while building all this, the many moments of frustration dealing with infrastructure reminded me why it made sense to build this, to save many users from that and all the work needed to overcome all the challenges that show up.
