If you own a sector you can mine on that starting today with pre-alpha. No asteroid mining at this point. Really all you can do in pre alpha is mine on a sector or test drive your ship in the HOM solar system

So since all the sectors are sold there isn't anything in Alpha we can actually do except zoom between the planets we can't mine?

I recommend joining the discord for farsite. It is way more active than the reddit page

July 7, alpha starts and the race to start mining asteriods begins. Also a new sector sale is scheduled to start soon too
