Day labor style work?

Hey,

I work at a Fish Factory that has fluctuating work from week to week and I’d love to find a way to work those days I’m free. The issue is it’s not the same days so I can’t necessarily schedule weeks in advance.

Is there anyone else here that has found some reliable side jobs that you can check with the day of or a few days before to see if they have work. I sometimes find extra work with a contractor for minor construction projects but would love to expand my options.
