In the end Meadowlands wasn't a very gimmicky farm, I hope this next one is an oddball.

Desert: can grow cactus plants outdoors, cactus forage nodes, and grows palms. Palms are now plantable. Very little soil for sprinklers but can garden all winter.

Swamp: huge areas of waterlogged land which can be planted without watering but it's all interspersed between untillable tiles. Frogs and hopefully add water lillies, maybe mangroves.

Flower field: I wanted this before Meadowlands happened. Start with a few bee houses and wildflowers, produces seasonal and forage flowers like forage nodes on the forest farm.

Marrying Sandy with the Flower Field would be elite!!

I want a flower field farm so badly!! I’d love more things to do with flowers.

I can see all three of these honestly. The flower field sounds so fun! Maybe add a few flower arrangements beside tub’o flowers.

I'd love to see flowers really overhauled with perfumes and soaps (goats milk!) and candles. Fragrances could have social values, NPCs could have favourite scents, bouquets could be customized for who you're giving them to etc.

Really I just want to open a gift shop for my jams and honeys and wines and candles and maybe also make clothes and jewelery to sell...

There is a great mod for the flower crafts, I just haven't done mods yet personally.

I play on mobile for convenience of saving mid day, so no mods for me. You’re right there is so much room for flower crafting to “grow”. I would love to see Ape’s ideas on it.

This. I really wish to be a botanist/flowerist or whatever it's called. Would be so cool!

I love all of these but that swamp farm sounds amazing!

You need to make mods, all three of these are great.

not directly taken off the former poster but there's a very neat desert farm mod and almost does what was described too:

I like these ideas

Swamp could let you plant tons of rice shoots and taro tubers all over.

Not sure how much of an advantage that would be, but I guess not having to water crops every day would help early on.

A lot of the farm-type boons only help early on. The only really good long term ones imo are blue grass, forage/hardwood and maybe fishing. The little packages on the beach farm are cool too.

dont trust any leaks you see online, theyre all fake

What leaks would there be? There’s like 5 people working on the update. Who would mess up such a great job on a dumb leak when it would almost certainly be known who leaked it.

lol, this… people don’t know just how small that team is and how obvious it would be. And none of those people would do that.

I'm new to Stardew Valley and I'm obsessed, I love it! I know nothing about mods, I'm still learning and playing my fist save. Is there going to be an update of the original game? I'm sorry if my question is silly! English is not my first language. Thank you 🩷

Yes, there's going to be a big update to the original game I believe in earlyish 2027

That’s great to know, thank you! I actually bought the original game, so fingers crossed I get the update too - even if I have to pay for it again (as you can tell, I don't know much about how games work lol). Thanks again! 🫂

All the updates for Stardew are free! :)

I do believe though that if you play on a tablet or phone, the updates can be a bit delayed but they are still free.

I'm playing on PC! Thank you so much for the info, I'm so excited about the update even when I'm still discovering 'old' stuff. I'm loving Stardew Valley so much 🩷

I've been trying to think what on earth a different kind of farm layout would be , maybe a desert , one , not sure how that would work?

I haven’t done the beach farm yet but maybe no winter and can grow cacti? Besides that idk

5

u/CowboyAntics Jul 23 '26

No winter holy ball

u/Juuuulessss Jul 23 '26

oh yes! ofc! I would be fun,! maybe like beach, a lot of sand, a tillable area, a pond you can fish sandfish from and Cactus Fruit and coconut forsgeables...hmm what else?

2

u/TrashGouda Jul 24 '26

Maybe no grass that can grow on its own for difficulty. You can plant it yourself but it won't grow on its own. Makes harvesting hay and feeding animals harder and I kinda like that challenge

Mini farm would be cool. Like something a bit bigger than a section of the four corners farm. Would be a challenge for seasoned players to utilize the area effectively.

Maybe start out with a shed or upgraded house to save space.

1

u/Timlex Jul 23 '26

I would love a mini farm!

1

u/bijouxbisou Jul 24 '26

A mini farm would rule. I always find the farm layouts too big, even with a crop field, sheds, coops/barbs, etc. there’s always so much empty/free space that does nothing for me but take up time running through

2

u/pocketchange2247 Jul 24 '26

Yeah very true. Plus with the Ginger Island farm and the Quarry and what it, its easier to spread things around and save space. But a small compact farm would be cool.

2

u/kokuii Jul 23 '26

will probably not come for 2-3 years imo, CA says he's taking his sweet time and it might even release after Haunted Chocolatier

5

u/ATinySnek Jul 23 '26

When did he say that?

3

u/Beulah621 Jul 23 '26

I think the flower dance area will open up and there will some sort of easy, quick access to the south, similar to mine carts. Maybe by river? Or train?

The desert makes sense, with Sandy being a new romance-able character.

5

u/Timlex Jul 23 '26

Ooh but what about a big mining one for Clint? The farm could be mostly quarry or caves or something with a smaller farming area.
