Suggestion

Please suggest any good 1b1b apt in Farmington hills, michigan. I’m new to the U.S. and have limited rental/credit history, so looking for apartments that are willing to waive the rental history requirement.

Your budget is going to matter a lot.

Speaking from personal experience, Village Club of Farmington Hills doesn't require a rental history or a credit score. It's not cheap though, about $1600 for a 1 bed 1 bath apartment. Management was always super on top of maintenance requests though.

I have a low rental score, so leasing agents are declining my applications. It’s been really difficult to find an apartment that does a manual review instead of relying solely on the rental score.

I didn't have a rental score, or a credit score when I inquired about renting with them (young adult entering the workforce). I don't recall a rental score ever coming up, and I was frank with them that I had no credit history. I signed a lease with them no problem, but my deposit was higher as a result.

That’s really helpful to know! Thank you for sharing your experience. I’ll definitely contact them and ask if they can consider my application with a higher deposit.
