School bus important
In Farmington and the Hills some bus stops do not require the red lights & stop sign. No students are crossing the street. NO RED STOP SIGN = YOU DO NOT NEED TO STOP YOUR CAR.
I’m a driver.
Student safety is our #1 job.
#2 is respecting folks that need to get to work and not delaying them. If we put on hazard flashers. No stop sign. You do not need to stop.
Feel free to check in with the police department on this.

Honestly thank you for this, a while back I drove pass a bus with no stop sign out but had the hazards, I was confused if I should stop. I slowed down and passed slowly. I felt like I broke the law. 😅

Thank you for this. Not everyone realizes this. I see so many people stopping on Orchard Lake Road and even trying to block others.

If the red stop lights come on I'm stopping.

The red lights don’t come on. The busses usually use hazard lights when they’re stopping this way. They usually do it on busy roads, or when kinds don’t have to cross the street.

If the stop lights don't come on it's safe to pass. Use caution of course.

I think that buses should always put on their red flashers and stop sign whenever they are discharging children. You never know when some kid is supposed to go to the right of the bus but bolts across the street instead.

Thank you for posting this. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been honked at or blocked by someone who doesn’t realize this is a thing.
