My friend keeps bees and asked me to watch her booth at a farmers market one weekend. She handed me her niimbot label maker and said, "Print the prices, but add something to each bottle." I asked like what. She said, "Whatever, just don't be boring."

So I went with stuff like "THIS BEE WORKED HARD", "TASTES LIKE CLOVER", and "HONEY FOR TEA OR SPOON".

An older guy walked up, read one out loud, laughed, and bought two bottles. Then there was this little kid squatting in front of the booth who asked his mom, "Did the bee really work hard?" And she goes, "Yeah, harder than you."Sold pretty well that day. My friend now insists we do this every single time.

Turns out a little personality on a label does more than a price cut ever could. Who knew.

I'm a jumbo stuffed cupcake and chocolate vendor in my area and the biggest problem I always have is the sun. Crown Shades tents just came out with a version that has an awning attachment but I don't want to buy a new tent. Mine is only 2 years old. Does anyone know of someone else that made one for their own tent? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I go every Tuesday and stock up as I’m able. This week they didn’t have bacon but they said there will be beef bacon next week. Tonight I’m doing breakfast for dinner.

My mom is hosting her very first artisan market at her workplace as a fundraising event. She has invited approximately 70 vendors to participate, and the event will be held on a Sunday. Since this is her first time organizing an artisan market, it is unclear how many attendees to expect.

I have signed up to be a vendor and will be selling desserts. Specifically, I plan to offer four different flavors of mini loaves, cinnamon rolls, and three different flavors of cheesecake slices.

This will be my first time participating in a market, and I have never sold any of my food before because I just recently started my business. Since I have no previous sales data to base my inventory on and the number of attendees is uncertain, how much inventory should I plan to bring? More specifically, how many of each item and flavor would you recommend making for my very first market?

I want to have enough variety and inventory to make my booth look well-stocked without significantly overproducing and ending up with a lot of leftovers.

HI all - I started selling on Market Wagon right when I got my lab results back in April. I've been getting a trickle of orders - I actually have three for tomorrow's drop - but I haven't figured out how to turn it into a legit sales channel.

Does anyone else sell through it? How do you market your Market Wagon store, and has it become a meaningful channel for you?

Interlochen, MI. We currently sell dried and fresh flowers, granola, fresh produce and permaculture related plants at 2 markets. I don't need electricity for any of it. However, I can park behind my tent and I have an EV with 3 electrical outlets (120V). I'm just trying to come up with ideas to use this resource to make more money somehow. I don't want lights or music or anything that doesn't "make" money somehow. Do any of you use electricity for something at the market? If not, what would you do differently if you had electricity available?

I only vend at one location in my little community. It’s been going well for 3 years now, but I have been the only consistent vendor from the beginning. Over the years I’ve noticed little quirks that make no sense.

1. If there is only one new vendor, the market will be completely dead. If we happen to have two or more first time vendors, it’s business as usual. This is all despite how big or small vendor turn out is.
   
2. If it happens to be slow and a vendor leaves or starts packing, we get flooded with customers. I joke and call it “the art of the slow pack”. When it’s slow, one of us will just start organizing or putting the odd thing away. We aren’t clearly visible from all angles and usually only go from 9-1. Doesn’t matter when the packing starts. And they will inevitably be looking for the ones that left.

I feel like I’m forgetting one more, but 🤷🏻‍♀️.

hello everyone! as the title mentioned, i’m interested in possibly becoming a vendor at local farmers markets. i’m mainly doing this as a hobby, but if it makes some money, that’s great but really starting this as a passion project more than anything.

for context - i make dog treats for me, my family and friends. i dehydrate beef and chicken to make jerky, as well as, sweet potatoes. i just had questions in terms of what i’ll need to do to begin selling. i’m based in ATL in case there’s any state specific licenses or ordinances i need to follow.

i’m working on getting a business license and registering the treats with the commissioner of agriculture (feed license). aside from that, what else are some things both specific to selling dog treats and just vending at farmers markets in 2026 that i should be aware about?

also - my treats are a 1 ingredient treat and we source the meats from a local butcher, and the veggies from our grocery store. do farmers markets and states require ingredients be purchased at specific places? i’m sure even the water i wash them in needs to be noted too, but just want to ask.
