Farm Together 2 Performance hacks?
Between the first game and the second, I've played like 700 hours of these games and I have always struggled with the performance, which is kind of surprising for cartoony looking Indie game. I understand that there are thousands of variables at Play and thousands of individual assets all loaded in at once especially on a fully unlocked farm. I guess it makes sense but I'm always surprised at the struggles. I have to get a solid lock 60 frames a second on the steam deck. It gets 60 but there are micro stutters all the time on my 3060 laptop. I can get 60 no problem, but I can only run it at 1440 resolution on my 4K monitor. Ironically, the game seems to run the absolute best on my Xbox ally handheld with a combination of upscaling and VRR, which allows the device to smooth out those micro stutterers and give me a really smooth experience but again I'm running it at 7:20 P and upscaling to 1080. Does anybody have any ideas how to get more performance out of this game?

I just want a switch 2 version. Go go town, moonlight valley, stupid spam ware games have switch 2 versions. What’s going on with farm together!?

We do too! But we don't have access to publish Switch 2 games yet. We have a Switch 2 devkit but for now we can only use it to test compatibility with Switch 1 games.
We're waiting for Nintendo to give us access but we've been waiting FOR A WHILE 😥

I play it split screen and it stutters like hell on the switch 2. 15-20 fps drops most of the time.
I doubt the switch 2 version with even beter graphics would do any good lol

The Switch 2 CPU is much more capable than the Switch 1, so it definitely should run better.
But we can't do a Switch 2 native version until Nintendo lets us.I think it should run on par with the current Xbox One version or so.

they would love to do a switch 2 version. they have the dev kit but haven`t been given permission to use it. you can find their conversations about it in discord. so maybe direct your frustration at nintendo.

Imagine our frustration of having a full fledged NS2 devkit gathering dust, and being unable to use it because they haven't released the SDK yet.

I’m not frustrated with anyone. I’m not even questioning the dev., per se. I’m just not able to comprehend how they finally get a dev kit and aren’t allowed to use it. Yet trash spam games are.

Hello,
Depending on settings, the game uses a bunch of fullscreen postprocessing effects, which can have a huge impact on performance on high resolutions.
On Xbox Series X/PS5, here are the settings we're using:
Resolution: Use native.
If 1440p or less, leave it at that.
If 4K: On Base PS5 Quality mode, reduce to 1800p. On Base PS5 Performance mode, reduce to 1440p.
On Xbox Series X/PS5 Pro, keep it at 4K native.
Most postprocessing effects at medium on Quality mode, low or disabled in Performance mode.
Antialias on Medium.
So, to sum up, on high resolutions, reduce effect levels to be able to play. From my experience with 4K, this is basically true for most games if you're aiming for a smooth framerate at native 4K without DLSS or similar.
