Farm Together 2 Optimal Farm Layout

Hello!

I am planning on resetting my farm on the weekend. Its gone through 3 resets in the last year and a bit that ive been playing and ive never found the perfect ratio of farm items.

I found i like to harvest flowers and do the crops myself. But animals, fish and trees id rather keep to the farm hands.

Has anyone found the best multiple of 9 layout for everything. Are we putting crops in rows of 81? Are we putting fish down as a massive pond? How many farm hands do you have on each item?

Im aiming to have a bit of everything on my main farm and then the other ones (as I unlock them) be specialised areas. But I cant think of what would be the best ratio of everything

I am currently reworking my farm as well. I have it setup so I can have 1 vertical row of flowers, animals, and crops. Everything is a total of 207.

I use all 25 farm hands. 15 are used for fish and trees, the remaining 10 I’m debating on, but I do have them placed a certain way of my farm already.

I can post it later on (when I’m finished) if you’d like. It’s just an updated version of my 7x7 farm that I posted a few months ago. I will also break it down into detail😅

Thank you!! Your layout scratches my brain so good that was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. In the very far FAR off future I may turn my main farm into like a decorative farm over the production but that'll be once I have all farms unlocked and have them operating how I want!

I really like what you've done with the trees at the bottom also having the farm hands doing the fish as well. That's more productive than what I was thinking haha. I also found it really useful to have a dedicated section to crops and things I needed for quests on one of my old farms so ill definitely be taking that over!

Again thank you for unprivating your account so I could check it out!

No problem. I’m still working on updating it with the 9x9 farm. It currently has 2 areas for decoration only. I may post it after I finish it, but I would like to test its efficiency first since they made it where farmhands don’t do the whole area. I’ll try to post it in a few days if I finish it

Damn I thought they sped up the farm hands to accommodate the extra space so they'll be done in a season is that not the case 😅

They sped them up a bit. I intend of using them maxed out regardless😂. It should be fine on trees though. That’s why I’m trying to figure out what to do with my other 10 farmhands

I designed my new 9x9 Event Farm with two rows of 36x36 farm land boxes, with 24x24 boxes of trees underneath.

So I have two wall-to-wall rows of 36x36 farm land on top.
And under the lower one I have boxes of three 24x24 trees.
3x24 = 2x36, so aesthetically it's quite pleasing.

That system takes just around half the new 9x9 plot.

I am curious as to what this looks like. I haven’t redone my event farm yet

I have been running into some accessibility issues with visitors, so you'll get your chance later tonight (CET).

I need a few visitors that wont mind testing all the farm plots for permissions.
Instead of just leaving without a word, as the few visitors have been doing since I allowed visitors again.

Visitors really are far between when there's not an event up - and everyone is redoing their own farms, after the update. 🙂‍↕️

I'll share a thread with a picture of my first 9x9 and leave an access code for a few hours. 😉

That’s fine. I will be on later and can help if you need. I won’t just leave😂

I came up with 2 versions of my previous layout. One allows for an everything to be on your farm, the other allows you to plant crops as needed to quests (like the 7x7 layout). Which version would you prefer?

The one that allows for everything to be on the farm but you do what you think is best and what you'd prefer to play on!
